Silsbee @ BC (Rough Stats) 12 Min Quarter (2) Silsbee (30 Plays) Rush (17) / Pass (13) First Downs (9) Punts (3) FG / TD Defense w/ 3 "Sacks" Bridge City (15 Plays) Rush (8) Pass (7) First Downs (1) Punts (4) Defense w/ 1 "Sack" Summary: Silsbee got better every possession w/ Johnson finishing up 6-7 of passing for the two "Scores". Solid run game inside and outside w/ downhill action. BC defense not bad early but once Tigers got a rhythm in run game they couldn't stop them. BC offense never got comfortable with good pressure from dline. Jmo -

BC found a little rhythm on 3rd possession but another "sack" from Walker and a dropped pass stalls the drive. Silsbee 3rd possession ends in punt. Johnson throwing off back foot almost results in pick. Edge rush by BC forcing Johnson into rushed throws 4th possession Silsbee 14 Plays / 70+ yds 4 First Downs ends in FG Johnson settling in w/ electric plays Silsbee RB depth has solid future. BC 3 and Out Tough running with no gaps available Silsbee LBs knocking down passes and filling up passing lanes. Several near picks -

Huffman getting the best of HF. Good work by both teams. Sophomore QB for HF looks solid. -

BC has some questions at QB for sure but special teams looks solid so far on kicking side. Defense keeping Johnson in pocket for now. -

Silsbee 2nd Possession First down /Punt Followed I believe SO Carter Howard taking first team RB snaps so far. Good first step with downhill contact. Seems to have a taste for the game. Defense forces punt. -

Lumberton 1st team offense failed to pick up a first down on their 12 offensive plays. Maybe got 4 yards total offense. Second units in for both teams for 10 plays. -

As one of the few posting here that haven’t voted either ‘for or against’ Trump (Yes, I was one of the 4.5 Million/3.3% that voted for Johnson in 2016, and didn’t vote in the last election), I just try to add some facts vs total opinion. Sometimes, I try to add a little wit and sarcasm. Probably fails most of the time. Many times, what someone posts makes me research more and learn. I like that. Hopefully, what I post helps others think about things from a different perspective as well. Although, not sure If what I link to even gets read. I typically focus on economics and personal liberties. I try to keep up with SCOTUS and the economy. Much of the other stuff posted I have to read about because it isn’t something I would normally seek out. If I’ve offended anyone, it wasn’t my intention.

Here at WOS/Lumberton scrimmage. Mustangs have scored two TDs in just 5 plays. -
Baltimore is probably hungry and we don't usually play last place teams well.

Tell me about it. Sadly it’s a reflection of the state of political discourse in this country. It’s certainly not a pissing contest to me. It’s what happens when norms are broken and ideology is weaponized. I just try to stick to the facts as I see them. When it turns nasty ugly, I don’t like it but the rules here seem to hold pretty well. 50 years ago I worked for Herman Adams in the state Capitol building. The house was primarily Democrat back then but Herman had friends among the Republicans. As chair of the calendar committee he didn’t shut them out. All representatives were there to help their constituents and promote the general welfare of the State of Texas. Bipartisanship. Courtesy. Respect for rules and traditions. Common goals, different approaches. Today? Unrecognizable and certainly unsustainable.

I agree with you. But, it has been far from civil down here for a while. More personal attacks happen down here than any other of our forums.
