  8. Trump wants to redraw the districts to ensure his winning that third term.
  9. from your article, see below On another note, I know you mentioned you would not like it from either side, but both sides do it. It is a tit for tat game and the one that does not do it losses.....as long as it is within the laws and legal, why not? The bending the knee / bowing is being used for anything the Dems don't like......like the settlements with universities.....the King narrative..... Cory Booker is trying to win an Oscar for his performances.....lol A person familiar with Abbott’s thinking said it was “inaccurate” to characterize the governor as being reluctant to pursue redistricting, but declined to provide any additional details. Andrew Mahaleris, a spokesperson for Abbott, declined to comment on Abbott’s conversations with Trump and other Republicans about redistricting but said the governor “looks forward to the legislature addressing important topics such as flood relief and property tax cuts, along with other critical issues, during this special session.” Abbott justified the redistricting by saying it was needed to address “constitutional concerns raised by the U.S. Department of Justice” about the current maps, which were drawn in 2021 and are the subject of an ongoing court challenge. The concerns were raised in a DOJ letter dated two days before Abbott announced the special session, in which Assistant U.S. Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon argued that four of Texas’ Democratic-controlled districts were unconstitutional and should be redrawn on the grounds of racial gerrymandering.
  10. I’ve never supported it. Political gerrymandering is a form of voter suppression, regardless what party’s doing it.
  11. Was told 145 total for Bellville on the first day. Big freshman group
  12. I guess you do too. You told her “inferior people lose arguments”. You called yourself out on that one. ‘Splained enough?
  13. don't see it happening. i know i said 150-180, i'll say 3-4 games will be probably below that. on another note thats not good enough to do big things in the playoffs. First rd i don't count cause that district is a joke.
  14. She always needs some “splainin”, so I oblige.
  15. I know you trying to dig at Big Girl, but you’re calling your own self out.
  16. Thanks for recognizing that it is illegal. Inferior people lose arguments. The smug left is always condescending. I was merely pointing that out. Your interpretation is expected.
  17. Used to be a big topic on here this time of the year. How are first day participation numbers.
  18. The courts was a fair comparison..... Each side does it and they are not going to stop. It has been going on as long as politics have been around. You wanting to make it stop when it effects your party is telling...... I'm ate up with partisanship?.....that is comical coming from you....lol
  19. True that!
  20. It’s called courage. The cowards are the ones in charge. Scared of Trump. Special session was supposed to be cannabis reform. Then the floods happened. They were gonna look into that as well. Then Trump said jump and our local issues go to the back burner. That,my friend, is the height of cowardice. Putting an individual’s demand above constituent needs. Shameful.
  21. Hey, I can go back to being a Longhorn fan…..never left.
