Alvarez, scoring from 1st base, got the stop sign at 3rd but headed home. Instead of sliding, he scored standing up. When his left foot hit home plate, his foot slid across the plate into the dirt twisting his ankle. Haven’t heard an update.

If Newton don’t clean up their needless penalties and start playing mistake free football, they’ll be lucky to beat anybody out of District.
