I agree it makes an impact, but teams all across the state are dealing with injuries/grades/discipline and must overcome. My point was lets not make an excuse if HF beats them. Teams all over are dealing with players out and are forced to overcome.

I agree with what you're saying completely. Not knowing who is out for silsbee makes it more difficult to understand how bad this hurts them. If its a combination of their QB, LB, DT then it really hurts silsbee in this game. Regardless, missing multiple starters in small 4A is tough to overcome.

With the advancement in passing offenses & rule changes that benefit the passing game allowing only 14 points a game average is great a defense. 19, 22 & 23 pts. a game is good defense.

I agree. But HF has had time to adjust to that one player missing. Silsbee missing 4-6 here of late is a bit different. Just sayin

Just my opinion but our district is kinda down this year.

HF has been without their best player for a few weeks now. He's out for the seasons with an injury. So both teams will not have their "best" team out there.

Either way they won’t be playing. But I’m not making any excuses the start of this year has not been great for Silsbee

Players missing games (for whatever reason) does matter. Particularly on the high school level. I have seen betting lines move so much when a player or two is announced to miss a game that even sometimes it switches from one team to the other on being the favorite. No one is making excuses. Just stating the fact that Silsbee's best team will not be available for this game.

So is listing players that won’t be available.

Brookeland Girls won their 4th XC District Title in a row. We took 7 of the top 8 places including 1st-5th Didn't have a full team on the boys side but Freshman Frank Martindale took 1st place

EC actually started fast against Buna. They were up 14-0 about halfway through the 1st quarter. Either way I think EC wins this one 49-21
