  10. [Hidden Content] Egg prices in April have fallen by more than a dollar for the first time in months. The latest Consumer Price Index data shows the average price of dozen Grade A eggs was $5.12 in April, compared to a record high $6.23 in March. While the average price of eggs fell 12.7%, the steepest decline was in 2023.

  12. Yeah, he didn’t know what those numbers meant. He was just casually walking down the beach and saw these shells arranged in this pattern, thought they were so beautifully arranged, snapped a pic, and posted it on the internet. He’s well known for posting nature scenes. Give me a break. Does anyone really believe him? If he didn’t know they were bad, why did he take them down? Comey is a criminal and should already be in jail for lying to congress.
  13. I doubt there is anything that can be done - but for him to say he knew it was political but didn't understand the meaning or possible meaning is ridiculous....OR proves he was a horrible FBI director.... [Hidden Content]
  14. How the Executive Branch got this so different than the original readings is beyond me. I read exactly as @tvc184 has explained. Best explanation I have seen without all the legalese in the briefs. In most cases, the interpretation closest in time to the original is the most accurate. Whether SCOTUS rules this way or not is debatable. I think they’re going to need more time to rule on the actual merits. I wouldn’t be surprised if they just negated the previous injunctions, put one of their own on, and asked for further review before judging the merits. They have limited time before their break, and this is a very big decision. On a side note, it would be typical if it was just some clerks way back when who decided it was too hard to keep track of everything, so they just started making everyone—except for a very limited few—be automatic citizens, and it just continued without anyone really questioning until recently.
  15. Here's a more detailed explanation: Judicial Review: The court then reviews the legality of the detention and can release the person if the detention is found unlawful. Importance: Habeas corpus is a cornerstone of the rule of law, protecting individuals from unlawful detention and ensuring their right to due process. Examples: It can be used to challenge the legality of an arrest, a conviction, or even a mental confinement. Historical Significance: Habeas corpus has deep roots in English common law and is considered a crucial protection against government overreach. Limitations: While generally protected, habeas corpus can be suspended in cases of rebellion or invasion, but only in the most exceptional circumstances, and only if the public safety requires it. Definition: Habeas corpus is a legal writ (a formal written order) that compels authorities to produce a person they are holding and to justify their confinement. Purpose: Its primary purpose is to ensure that no one is held in custody without a legal basis. Process: When a writ of habeas corpus is filed, a judge can order the custodian of the detained person to bring them before the court.
  16. It was also suspended in the years following the Civil War, during the Reconstruction period, to quash rebellions by the white supremacist Ku Klux Klan group. If it can be suspended for US Citizens (KKK), why not for people who have crossed our borders illegally?? It has been suspended 4 times

  24. So you understand that if habeas corpus is suspended, NOBODY has rights to due process, right? When habeas corpus is suspended, the executive (or any branch) can throw you in jail for anything, without charges, without a conviction…. Nothing. And you have zero rights until “the invasion” is over. Speak out against the supreme ruler? Imprisoned with no rights. No trial, no bond, no indictment-just imprisoned. A “political prisoner” if you will. The last time it was done was during the civil war when Washington DC was in danger of being overrun during the civil war.
  25. Spin that top! CNN headlines said b that Trump’s “fiction” is now true. For “months” Trump has been talking about egg prices. I guess technically it’s true because he’s been an office a little over three months…. 🤣🤣🤣 Egg prices nationwide fell by almost 13%, the largest monthly decline in 41 years. The USDA shows a national average of $3.30 a dozen for large white eggs and down 69¢ in one week. Look at the CNN headlines… Fiction “has suddenly” become reality. 😂😂😂 [Hidden Content]
