  1. Past hour
  2. No, I’m not. I worked elections as a judge for 30 years the system is safe, impossible to rig on any significant scale that matters. One person, one vote. Since improperly registered voters are a statistical anomaly, efforts to “stop” something that doesn’t exist results in making it more difficult for people who want to exercise their constitutional duty to do so. ALL AUTHORITARIAN POLITICAL SYSTEMS TRY TO MAKE VOTING MORE DIFFICULT. We are headed for the end of freedom if this keeps up. Keep parroting this mess at your peril.
  3. 10 straight years in playoffs in a tough district. Good pay and pipeline. Should be a lot of applicants. And yes, the Beaumont schools are being left behind
  4. Whatever happened to deportations? Has Trump given up?
  5. You can say that again….. We have people of all ages, races, and income levels change their name all the time. 70% on the low end agree with voter ID. We happen to be talking to the 30% that thinks a majority of people are dumb, and apparently mostly women. It appears that of my two marriages, I pick some smart ones, because they were able to navigate that all by themselves….. I just double checked, you can order your birth certificate online, you don’t even have to leave your house…..
  6. Today
  7. Awesome
  8. Shout out to Huntington’s Josh Jones for winning District Coach of the Year. Went undefeated in district. Won by district and area. Lost at the buzzer regional semi’s. Building a solid program.
  9. Some of y'all really need to brush up on the Constitution.
  10. No problem. I was editing still anyway.
  11. Read my edit. Then, I'll respond if I need to. Besides, where in the Constitution are you guaranteed the right to vote? Please point it out to me.
  12. Sorry, I didn’t see your post.
  13. CB, it’s been years, ten I think, but when my TEXAS license was up for renewal, I had to provide my birth certificate and SS card to renew. If I remember correctly, it’s why the little star is now on my license. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but my license was scanned when I voted. It ensures that I am who the license says. Gee, I thought my white privilege would allow me to bypass this inconvenience. Lol. It’s called a real ID and everybody has to do it.
  14. It’s only rigged when they lose.
  15. Yes… and this will be harder than what you dealt with at the dmv. Why are you okay with the federal government taking away the right to vote as afforded in the constitution?
  16. Lets undo the 2024 election since it was rigged
  17. Okay…. Here’s the scenario. The save act passes and you don’t really care. You’re an American and you’ve been voting for years. You show up to vote and they tell you that you can’t because you’re not registered. And it’s too late to register for this election. Are you happy? Same scenario, except you realize that you’ll need to re-register in person at least 30 days prior to the election. No worries. You show up at the voter registrar and they let you know that you’ll need to prove citizenship… and your TX DL doesn’t prove citizenship. You’ll need a birth certificate or passport. So you and the Mrs head off to vital statistics to buy a copy of your birth certificates at $10 apiece. When you get back to the voter registrar, you’re good to go. Except Mrs Baddog’s license doesn’t match the birth certificate that shows her maiden name. So she has to go to the county clerk to buy a copy of her marriage license that shows her receiving the Baddog Surname. Return to the voter registrar only to find that the marriage license doesn’t have her maiden name, but instead has the last name of her first husband, whose name she kept because it’s the same name as your stepchildren. So she has to find a marriage license and divorce decree that will document those name changes at substantial cost of time and money. By now she’s missed the window to register and can’t vote, even though you can. Are you happy? Repeat after me… proving citizenship isn’t the same thing as producing your ID. Can you find your birth certificate before you register to vote next time?
  18. Anyone who has had to get a new Driver's License in the last few years had to show a birth certificate, social security card, and/or a passport. You had to have proof of citizenship to get a new license with Real ID. A married person who changed their name just needs to also show their marriage certificate. Since--as I understand it--the States will still set the rules for acceptable citizenship verification, any Texas resident with a driver's license after 2016 should be in the Real ID system in Texas verifying their citizenship. Maybe, Texas will allow that to suffice. I haven't heard a definitive one way or the other yet since the Act hasn't even passed.
  19. At your bank, do they require you to prove that you were born in the US or a naturalized citizen? Nope, you need a couple of forms of photo ID. Does the bank require customers to produce their birth certificate? I didn’t think so. And I can speak for women when I say that it requires a court order (usually a divorce) to change their name after having it changed initially by a marriage license. The problem is that in addition to having to find or get a copy of a birth certificate to prove citizenship, they’d also have to prove that they (with new name) are the same person named on the birth certificate since the name doesn’t match the dl. Nobody is saying poor people are dumb, just they they don’t do a lot of international travel, which likely means that they have one fewer means of identifying themselves… unless they’ve got the $175 and six weeks it takes to get a passport. There’s a huge difference between saying “you need to show your id to vote” and “you need to prove citizenship in order to register to vote.” It creates barriers to keep people who can legally vote from voting in the future. Kinda like a poll tax.
  20. Working a poll has nothing to do with Americans wanting legal citizens to show proof that they are eligible to vote. You are making this way more complicated than it should be.
  21. Brandon Shumake at Brookeland and past girls coach in Jasper. Over 100 wins at Jasper and now boys at Brookeland where he has taken them to regional finals each of the three years he has been there, and once to the State semifinals. Wins at every level including a state championship TAPPS while at Cleveland Heritage.
  22. Is there anyone on here who has ever had a problem voting due to ID verification? That’s what I thought. So it’s been this way for years, now it’s a problem. Why? Can you still vote? Why the concern for anyone else? Have they had trouble voting? Nope. Some of you like to argue a stupid point when it really has no effect on anyone. You’ve always been selfish and never cared for anyone before now, why mess with your record? If you care about illegals voting then you’re not an American….plain and simple.
  23. Better if the Beaumont schools stay down.
  24. You ever work a poll?
  25. Personally I don't think you need to speak for women. I work at a bank where names on DL's have to match account name. In my 23 years of banking, I have never had a woman complain they needed their divorce decree to change their name.....either to their married name or back to their maiden name. Why do you think poor people are dumb?
  26. Did we need our birth certificate to even get a DL in Texas? Honest question, I can’t remember its been so long Anyways.. let’s make the criteria to be active US passport. That’s not voter suppression since everyone has one readily available, right
