I watched the Anahuac & EC game, EC was the far better team, they just couldn’t get out of their own way. Idk if Ceasar was hurt in the second half, but he barely got the ball. That being said, anything is possible with 16 & 17 year old kids, but I imagine OF rolls in this one.

Honestly this sounds like a NFHS issue and not a DCTX issue...we dont have anything to do w/NFHS.... You can absolutely watch multiple teams and games on the DCTX platform with a DCTX subscription...

Certainly not after the horrendous season they had a year ago (considering they did finish 4th) but the game I saw against a district opponent, they did NOT cross the 50 yard line and looked very young and inexperienced. What a difference a year makes.

Genuinely curious, did anyone see Anahuac here play for DC? Newish to the district and seemed like all the hype was on OF and EC.

You may want to start looking at I Bonds. As a banking employee, I’d think it’s something you have knowledge of, and can easily justify with your time window. A little protection can go a long way in this environment, and now would be the time to buy.

Depends on the coaches. Usually, I wind up looking in multiple places, and I try to keep track during the year. Sometimes, I have to rewatch games or coach’s shows. Luckily—in this case—both staffs appear to be keeping their stats updated somewhere where Maxpreps can get to them. Because, they matched the individual games I had pretty close, and both were up-to-date. A lot of teams don’t do this.

A lot of people are using La Porte as a comparison for different things. For the record, La Porte just got their D personnel back for the PAM game. Then, they preceded to lose their NT during that game. I don’t know his status. LP had to shuffle their D, and many D players were having to fill in on the O as LP lost their entire OL and others in Games 1 & 2. Any comparison using the LP D before the PAM game is moot. LP even had Simon and Reynolds playing LB in addition to their normal positions against GB because they were so banged up. That’s when Simon got ejected. GB was taking cheap shots at him all game while he was doubling on defense. Apparently, he finally had enough at the end of the game. He had to sit the first half of the GCM game. LP has been through the injury wringer this year.

Well why is it telling me to upgrade my plan on Orangefield and Iowa Yellowjackets games, I only cover one school.

A shot clock creates pressure to attempt a shot before time expires. For teams with inexperienced guards or limited ball-handling ability, that can mean more rushed passes, careless turnovers, and low-percentage shots. A faster pace can lead to more possessions, more transition opportunities, and greater physical demands. Teams with short benches may struggle to keep players fresh, particularly during tournaments with multiple games in a day. The shot clock adds another timing responsibility. Officials must determine when it resets, when it continues, and whether a shot hits the rim or results in a violation. Mistakes can directly affect close games. Schools may need to purchase shot clocks, install them, maintain them, and train officials and operators. Smaller districts could feel that financial burden more than wealthy districts.… plus the shortage of officials state wide let’s not forget.
