  2. I’d prefer we go back to the ‘old way’ of requiring a three judge panel at the District Court level to impose a national injunction or vacatur verdict, and use the immigration judge system as was intended. Our Federal Court system isn’t set up to handle thousands of habeas corpus cases for illegal immigrants, and you can rest assured the word is already out to try & flood the system to slow down/halt the immigration crackdown. Congress needs to act to reinstate the old policy that was around until the late ‘70’s/80’s timeframe, and Roberts needs to get his folks in line. The judge shopping needs to stop, as it’s been shown the Judicial Branch can’t seem to regulate itself. Congress can easily revert to the old policy and restore a little sanity/legitimacy. I was reading where the Obama Administration had 6 nationwide injunctions. The Biden Administration had 14 policies stopped with a nationwide injunction. Almost all were handled by judges put in place by Republican Administrations (Other than rulings on student loans & the No Evictions effort that was tried & shot down by SCOTUS). Trump has had 59 national injunctions so far (far more than any other POTUS in history), and 92% were District Court judges appointed by Democratic Administrations. I’d have to find the source again. It was a legal review commission in cooperation with Congressional interest. Congress seems to know it’s a problem. May 15 could be interesting.
  3. I do not disagree on that.
  4. Definitely more valuable than being unsuccessful as a HC or coordinator. But if you have successful HCs or coordinators applying than I'd probably give them the edge
  5. Good friend of mine. Great young coach that will have Buna playing at a very high level!
  6. It can happen anywhere….. (preemptive comment)
  7. It can be, it also can be more valuable than being a coordinator or head coach somewhere that has never been successful just to say you have coordinator or head coach experience. I imagine the people conducting interviews not only for this job but his previous jobs have vetted him to see what his roles were there and how much input he had or how much he learned from his time there.
  8. In many cases the experience of learning from a guy who has been successful in that same position is more valuable than going elsewhere just to say you are a head coach. I would say it varies based on the situation though.
  9. I wonder why no liberals have posted on this topic? Lol I’ll just out this here….
  10. Randall Robertson. Former head boys basketball coach at Bridge City. Currently on staff at Lumberton.
  11. Today
  12. Oops….starting the day @ 206. Sorry.
  13. I think it's weird you get enjoyment out of these situations but I see what your saying. I've never been one to advocate for Rob leaving although I didn't agree with everything he did for this very reason. It's like the school board just goes "any-many-miny-moe." Hope I'm wrong and things work out really well
  14. So you value loyalty over experience? So going to get head coaching experience and seeing different programs isn’t as good as staying and being the assistant.
  15. I understand it looks good on a resume but I think it's an overrated credential
  16. Obviously there are more factors than that, depends on how good of a job you did while at the school, have you proven to have the qualities and skills to be the head coach in your tenure there etc.. If you have done those things and could have left to go elsewhere to be a head coach but chose to stay then loyalty should probably be rewarded.
  17. Who is this?
  18. One of my favorite things each year is the fan bases who hoot and holler to run their current coach off, then when the coach leaves, they end up with someone they are disappointed with. Gonna be a blood bath in WV when they lose in the second round this year with several returning starters on both sides of the ball from last years state finalist team. Also, the coach in Gunter is gone, so this may be the year for WV.......or could've been the year if they had valued continuity over chaos.
  19. Woodville currently does not fall in the majority, I was just saying that is a pretty good place to be and looks a lot better on a resume than plenty of other places out there.
  20. The reality is the guy is very experienced at being as successful as possible at talent poor and money poor districts. According to some of the things I've read on Colmesneil, it sounds like he is the perfect man for this job.
  21. @BMTSoulja1 is this in Beaumont?
  22. Please sir, name me a true leader that does that. On the federal level. I agree with your premise, but that doesn't happen on either side of the aisle. Hence my disdain for most politicians. And if you're gonna bitch about it when "our" guy does it, you got a bitch about it when "your" guy does it too... Didn't hear much of this talk from '21 to '24.

  24. Don't look to good other than Colmesneil to be honest though 😆
  25. 2020-2023 seems like his best years
  26. That's why I'm looking at the positives instead of everyone else on this hire.
  27. Even more than the minerals deal, this gives the US interests inside of Ukraine, which we will defend militarily.
