  2. Van is up around Tyler.
  3. Can’t say to your bet. We don’t have all the data. You’d need to parse through UT’s numbers as well. But, if they’re paying more than the benefit they receive, they should do something about it. Goodness. Both are essentially state entities. This is like an internal transfer of funds using public money. UT gets 10% funding from the taxpayer. They—in turn—overcharge UIL for services/offices/etc. UIL then needs to find more revenue to support their mission. On and on ad nauseum. I know UIL gets a lot of flack, and my initial post about them pressuring people to join in with their preferred broadcast partners wasn’t meant to be a slam. They aren’t forcing anyone to do anything. It’s up to the ISD. With the new linear broadcast approval for 2027, I expect to see some changes in how all this works anyway. I also am waiting to see how new leadership affects things. I know public schools are hurting. I know Harris County raising our property taxes like they did pretty much wiped out many ISD’s attempts at more funding via VATRE proposals. People are just getting tapped out. Harris County’s 12% increase on top of last year’s was horrible timing for ISD’s that had to have their proposals on the ballot before they knew what the County was going to do.

  8. I would be willing to bet $ the fees the UIL pays to UT (568K) is more than what taxpayer benefits the UIL gets being a part of the UT system.... There are benefits to the UIL being part of UT but its not reflected on the most recent financials publicly available [Hidden Content]
  9. Not a subject you want to be an overachiever in
  10. This is why we have electoral college. Sad that the right 37 counties can decide the election
  11. I was out walking around 8:30 Saturday morning and there were about 40 players out there who appeared to be running 'wind sprints', not sure what was going on. Hoping someone may have the inside scoop.
  12. You're going to blow it. Just like the Nederland defense you will find a way to screw it up. Setx Sports should just shut down now. No chance of getting any of our local schools out of the 1st round either. IYKYK. Give em hell, Uncle Spidey, Jr strikes again!
  13. Same. I think its somewhere south of dfw only because of the locations of the others in district. Of course thats like thinking Shepherd is close to bmt for the same reason. UiL doesnt have geography competitions
  14. Not at all, Ned has had a bad habit of fading in the second half of the season the last couple of years, regardless of talent. I’m glad to see them make the comeback and win the game. Dayton always plays them tough so I wasn’t surprised at the finish.
  15. I couldn’t tell you where they are located without looking them up on a map.😃
  16. I thought they redrew the lines to prevent this. 😎
  17. I saw Van play Madisonville. Van had no defense and gave up nearly 400 yards just in the 1st half. WOS should put up a lot of points in this one.
  18. No worries my friend. I just have to continue the narrative.
  19. I only changed it cuz he asked. Smh the whole time thinking maybe he's tanking for the draft
  20. I’m mostly just poking fun lol
  21. My comment was about the Shepherd game , but your right about the season, its been rough at times. They will play good for several plays, then lay an egg on a play. I do know that there has been a continuing shuffle of moving kids around due to players being out from injury, and eligibility , and I mean some really good players missing. Another problem is DL is small, and the DBs are making a lot of tackles, this causes a lot of players keeping their eyes in the backfield, and getting beat on coverage. It also causes the defense to rush the house and hope they sac or hurry the QB , before He makes a good throw. Ive been told that Tigers will have kids back and mayb a couple a little more healthy, as we get into playoffs. I would imagine the Defensive staff working 80 plus hours a week, will do everything they can to make it work.
  22. That Crockett game was close for a long time. 🤷🏾‍♂️
  23. Jasper scored only because of roughing the kicker. Just saying. 🧨
  24. Why you picking Huntington to begin with brotha 🤣
