At one point in time, several years ago, the titles would at one point of the seasons they would go to the top of the title page. Football and Volleyball would stay at the top until the football championship games, then the boys and girls basketball would be on top until the basketball championship games, then the baseball and softball would be on top until the baseball championship games. That way the sports that were in season would be easier to get to. Now, would that raise the number of people going to the baseball thread? Maybe, maybe not, but it would be easier to get to and less of a deterrent to get to.

What a rally. Nederland had one hit going into the sixth inning. Nederland rallied for three in the bottom of six and two in the bottom of seven to win it 5-4.

Go dogs.
-
Slade Shepphard walkoff double. BH 4-5-0 Ned 5-8-0 Nederland is now 10-0 in district

Someone without a better plan should follow the administration that Americans elected to lead us. You post things most of us already know, and repeat your hatred for anything Trump does. Right now, all any of us can do is wait and see.
-
After 6: BH 4 runs on 5 hits and Nederland 3 runs on 5 hits.

BH 4-5-0 Ned 3-5-0 after 6

I don’t have the answers… but to claim that “we won” when Iran is still firmly in control of Hormuz is just not being honest. And demanding that they open it immediately isn’t going to do the trick, either. We’re not in control of the bargaining on this one, and everybody knows it… Trump, too, at this point. We either come to the table and accept some of their terms, or we’ve got to go the opposite route and do whatever it takes to end them. But I’m afraid we’ll find ourselves fresh out of friends (other than Israel) if we nuke them or start trying to actually take control of the country via land attacks. The damage is this… the Iranians were a bunch of blowhard Islamic radicals who were getting close to having nuclear devices until we tore them up again last year. But they weren’t “days away from having a nuclear weapon” this time. Trump thought he could punch them very hard and they’d quit. In fact, they’ve just been lying on the ropes and letting us blow through munitions, while simultaneously causing economic pain to us and the rest of the world. We’re kind of out of goodwill with most of our allies at this point. It’ll be neat to see what happens if this thing drags on. Trump has been pretty silent since the ceasefire fell apart… my guess is that he’s trying really hard to get Israel to agree to lay off of Lebanon. If Israel won’t agree to stop hostilities, we’ve got to see where we land. It’ll be interesting to see if Trump starts banging on Israel in the next day or so. Unfortunately, even through their military infrastructure is in tatters, Iran has gained a lot of “clout” through all of this. We now know for certain that they can’t be bombed into submission, and that they can, and will shut down Hormuz to get what they want. I see them as strengthened by our attack.

I have some classmates or guys that I went to school with that are current coordinators that would be perfect for this job. One is at West Fork right now that comes to mind but I doubt he'll want it since he played for Shepherd but you never know.

The Houthi’s can—and have—hit ships in the Strait as well.
- Yesterday
-
How would you suggest opening it? You seem to have an answer for everything, or should I say….how not to do it? There are lots of ships passing in the straits. Cargo ships sit high with a minimal draft. Supertankers can be 1200’ long and have a width (beam) of 200+ feet. Their draft can be 80+ feet. These might need center passage to navigate these drafts. They also prefer a mile or two of distance between each other in open seas. Close passage can create a squat effect (attraction) to each other. Ever been fishing in the ship channel and watch a single passing tanker suck all the water away from the bank? These ships can take miles to stop. Can’t take a chance on Iran successfully planting a mine. One sunken tanker could really wreak havoc. I have no answer as to how to open the straits. Trump’s doing what he can with diplomacy, without giving them $billions. A little positivity goes a ling way, but some people don’t possess any.

You’re dreaming, brother. The strait is closed because Iran says it is. There hasn’t been a single US warship even try to make a pass through there because they know that they’d be sitting ducks for Iran’s remaining missiles and drones. We quite simply cannot take control of the strait without owning the ground alongside it, and that would take boots on the ground. It was well known before this excursion was started, but Trump believed that our weapons would scare the Iranians into giving up. It did the opposite. We’re fighting a military was and they’re fighting an economic one. And for reference, you’re abjectly wrong. Our carriers go through the strait of Hormuz anytime they want. That’s what’s so irritating about the sheople eating up the whole “we have air and sea control” when it’s obviously a lie. Send a few frigates up there and see what happens. It’s why every day the White House spokespeople are like “the strait isn’t closed… we’ve got reports that Iran allowed two tankers to pass through yesterday.” So why aren’t we floating around out there opening the thing up? Our navy would get pieced up in the Strait. credit Google Yes, U.S. Navy aircraft carriers routinely transit the Strait of Hormuz to enter and exit the Persian Gulf as part of routine patrols and to project power in the Middle East, often accompanied by carrier strike groups. Notable recent transits include the USS Abraham Lincoln (2019, 2012) and USS Dwight D. Eisenhower(2023).

Nice! Appreciate it.

Round 1 interviews Monday , from a guy getting an interview.

I guess you don't understand what full control means. The strait is still closed because he is negotiating, trying to get a peace deal. You can't be that ate up with Trump to not realize after hitting over 15,000 military and other targets, destroying their navy and air force, if we wanted, we could make a ghost town out of the strait and make it safe to go through. Your carrier comment is ridiculous because those vessels are not designed for close quarters.

It is going to be a complete circus if they get a majority of even one in the house....That would almost be worth it to see them try and get stuff to the Senate, only to fail.....

No, sir… Pakistan confirmed that the Iranian demand that all attacks their allies (in Lebanon, etc.) was in the ceasefire agreement. [Hidden Content] Basically put, Iran says hostilities against all of us must stop, we agreed, but then Israel said “no, we don’t agree to a ceasefire, and you don’t speak for us, Fatso” before hitting Lebanon harder than ever. So now Trump is like “well, that’s between Israel and Lebanon, but you’d better open that strait” and Iran is like “I guess we don’t have a ceasefire after all.” A better question is, why does Trump keep saying that we have “full control over air and sea” but the strait is still closed? Donnie’s lying again, and you’re lapping it all up and asking for seconds. Send a carrier through the strait and see what happens.

Update This is a non-issue pipe dream. Not only would they need 3/4 votes in both chambers, the VP would have to agree......

These people hate Trump and there’s no doubt in my mind that there’s nothing in the Epstein files showing criminal actions by Trump. Funny how none of you Dems ever talk about your presidential candidates. Here they are….. [Hidden Content]
