Ive been a follower of SETX Sports since probably the creation of this site. This site has followed Barbers Hill that whole time. Now that they reach 6A, SETX no longer follows them? Is West Chambers County no longer considered SE Texas? This garbage of its because of the district they're in is a poor excuse. I went to North Shore and our district has some of the best teams in the state and none of these teams are east of Harris County.

Thanks for the info. I don't know much about Jasper or Shepherd but I have always been a fan of coach T. You know normally I am the first one to get out on the sidelines for a scrimmage but age must be sneaking up on me because this week I thought to myself. Aye let it go I will get out there next week. I have talked to my friend Tom Halliburton. He's pretty wrapped up in the mid city to Beaumont stuff but we still share a word every now and then. I've known him ever since we were in high school and he had a regular jig working for the Southwest Times Record which was the second largest paper in Arkansas. He covered the winners locker room in the national championship game in 1969. A lot of football and other sports has taken place since those days.

To follow up on the Jasper/Diboll scrimmage. Based on the video posted: Jasper 1st team scored 2 times, 2nd team 1 time Diboll 1st team never scored, 2nd team scored 1 time.

I saw him play in the 8th grade against w.o told a few ppl then silsbee had something coming with that kid!!

Also, to clear up the Silsbee QB situation. Beau Breeden, transfer QB from Lumberton who played JV last year, has not played a live snap yet. The QB that started the scrimmage was Morris, who also starts at LB on defense. Mathews, the soph., was the other QB that came in to play. Breeden is not cleared for contact just yet. I'm not sure what scrimmage KJAS was reporting on but that little write up doesn't match up with the video that is posted, First of all, the scrimmage was in Diboll, not Jasper Second, Jasper went on offense first. They scored one time in the 15 minutes they were on offense. Diboll did not score in their first 15 minutes of offense. Now, unless the video didn't start until after Diboll had went on offense, the video doesn't match the write up. The video is 1 hour and 40 minutes long so I am pretty sure that was the entirety of the varsity scrimmage. Based on the video, Jasper defense played well. Jasper definitely had the size advantage over Diboll on both sides of the ball. Diboll is pretty small up front.
