The answer is “it’s complicated” but I think likely for the most part it’s before. Also remember with the rezoning there’s kids that got the opportunity to jump around just because their house is in a new attendance zone. I believe RELs gotten some fresh faces as well You’ve got to remember that Spencer Anthony was REL’s DC the whole time Coach Finn was there, Anthony applied for both the GCM job and the RSS job which he ended up getting. He got the RSS job a couple months before Summer S&C started and Coach Finn announced to the team that he was retiring and Coach Sutterfield was taking the reins. My understanding is that Anthony was well liked and it’s incredibly easy to jump around schools in GCCISD so the players who went with Anthony to RSS went well before Finn’s announcement. With that said, I figure everyone knew what was up well beforehand. Anthony came to REL with Finn and had coached with him a year before that. If he’d thought that Finn was staying on or there was a chance in Hell he’d have a shot at taking over for Finn he’d have never applied for the GCM or RSS jobs. As far as LP taking from REL, they’re an up-and-coming powerhouse so they’re taking from everyone they can. I’ve run into folks from there and to say the least they’re vocal about the advantages and benefits a kid can get by transferring there. More interesting to me is how little GCM has taken from the other GCCISD schools. Not to say they haven’t taken in a transfer or two because they have and at least one of those is an assistant coaches kid but you don’t see as many GCCISD kids lured over there as you’d expect, especially with GCCISD Admin putting so much into the rebuild. Since I brought GCM up, here’s a difference between GCM and REL/RSS. The week of the Coaches Conference, most of the coaches for all 3 schools went to SA but REL/RSS still held S&C that week. GCM took the week off. One MORE thing, with the rezoning resulting in Jr Highs being true feeders into the High Schools, meaning each Jr High feeds 100% into a certain high school, I think you’re going to see less jumping around starting in the next couple years. Not that it won’t still happen plenty with the whole academies thing, but it seems to me like the kids are going to get tighter with each other and less likely to jump since they’re all going to the same place and not playing on a Jr High team where half their teammates are going to be opponents the next year. At least it seems that way to me from what I’m seeing. Yes, there’s quite a bit of talent headed to REL in the next couple years out of BJS/HMJS IF REL can find a way to keep them all together.

If I recall stocks took a hit when Trump announced the tariffs....Then a few weeks later, he started breaking records. In June, 2022 inflation hit 9.1%.......June 2025 was actually 2.7. Hard to take you serious when you're sounding the alarm because of a "tick" up in inflation, after we have recovered from 9.1%
