These two teams pretty much mirror each other this year. Both lost their first game of the year in which they should have easly won. Both have an offense that can score some points. Both have a defence that gets after the ball. Both teams did what they need to do to get to this game. Carthage has a little more team size and Silsbee has a little more team speed. Carthage is more use to going this far in the playoff and this is Silsbee's first time to be this far since 1998. This game has got to be one of the better match ups this weekend. It is really building up to be a good game. Safe travles to all. Oh and for my pick, well I'm a homer and going with Silsbee to win. Go Tigers!!!

I was just wondering if there was some statistical reason. I couldn't find many stats on y'all. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough, but I'm also on an iPhone from work. Lol don't get me wrong, I'm not looking past you guys. I'm just being a homer and believing in my team. Hell I'd pick the bulldogs if they were up against Dallas (which the way they've played isn't saying much.) lol I hope everyone is safe to and from the game and I hope there are no injuries for either side!

im just getting home from the game, CONGRATS TO CARTHAGE!  8)


Dawgs dominated both lines of scrimmage IMO, their O-line was huge! Overall size was advantage Carthage, overall speed wqas advantage Silsbee, but this game proved one thing: You can have all the speed in the world but if you cant get your players in position to utilize that speed it doesnt matter, Carthage executed their O all night long. Congrats to Silsbee for not giving up after a bad 1st half, they kept fighting.

Now with Silsbee gone and Stephenville beating down my State Champ pick Abilene Wylie i hope Carthage goes on to win State.  8)
