looks like a good even match up.

common opponents:

Diboll

Center 38  Diboll 0  (35-0 halftime,  pulled off in second half)
Jasper 45  Diboll 0  (not sure about halftime score)

Carthage

Carthage 45  Center 29  (Carthage scored last play of game to make 45 and kicked a 42 yd. field goal on the last play of first half.  10 pts with no time on the clock)
Carthage 49  Jasper 31  (Jasper scores late to make 31, but had the lead in the third quarter 24-21.  Center never led in their game.)

Huntington

This game does not count, both teams played their JVs most of the game.

The game is in Center.  The last three meetings have Gone to the home team each time, with Jasper winning two very close games and the game in Center was not very close.  Looks like this one could be one of the better games in week 10.  Good luck to both teams and may they come out of it injury free so they can represent the district well in the playoffs.

Yes, this will be a tough game for Jasper. It will be the 3rd test of the season - we failed the first 2 (WO-S and Carthage). If we don't beat Center soundly, I don't look for us to go far in the playoffs. We'll be one (maybe two) and done. Whomever wins can get some momentum going forward.

The winner gets an easier 1st round against Groesbeck, but would draw Navasota in the 2nd round.  So, the loser of this game actually has a better chance to make it to the 3rd round.

I can see it now; both teams playing to lose!  ;)  No, too much pride on the line for both teams.
