2012 Offense

Offense: Spread
Returning starters: 7

Although seven starters return from the 2011 offense, the Bronco spread will have a new leader at the controls as senior Markain Chambers moves over from wide receiver (45 catches, 488 yd, 3 TD) to quarterback.  He will be joined in the backfield by senior running back Ryan McBride (2nd team all district, 130 carries, 733 yd, 9 TD rushing; 43 catches, 412 yd, 4 TD receiving).  Also catching passes from Chambers this year will be junior receiver Landon Tamlin (5 catches, 48 yd in 2011) and sophomore receivers Kyle McBride and Jacarius Keener.  A veteran offensive line will include seniors Matt Oubre (1st team all district), Ashton Swayzer (2nd team all district), Jacob Butterfield and John Smith.

I heard Keener at one time was being considered at the QB position. Any truth to this? If so, will he be the backup?
I don't know much about the Keener kid other than there was a new kid on the block that was a serious  contender for the QB job ! Competition is good for the team its a win/win situation.  Chamber's is at least 6'3 and will be one of the fastest players in the district should be a fun season !  I think if he would of played QB against Manvel it would of been more of a competitive game -  Our starter was great but couldn't see over Manvel's huge line and had open recievers all night - Manvel adjusted and just stuffed the box on every down.

Keener and Kyle McBride saw time at QB, as JH and Freshman players. One of those 2 will most likely be the QB in the future.

Where did Chambers play last year? Was he the JV QB or moved from another position to play this year. I keep reading these comments and wonder if he is superman this year then where has he been?

I looked it up and your WRONG  :D or the Chronicle is  :D it shows that he had 1 pass for an interception in that game with zero yards. Ther credit Herrera with all passing yards in that game.

Last year he threw 12 passes for 6 completions for 42 yards and 2 INT's. I'm getting more worried by the minute now ;D
bh qb threw for about 80 yds a game and ran for about 50 yds a game and was district mvp. Bet chambers doubles those numbers this year.
