This game is starting to take on a "Rival" atmosphere...but not quiet up there with MCM yet...dont know if its because its Homecoming or maybe that we have a very worthy opponent coming....but if there ever was a rivalry between our 2 teams...Vidors gonna have to change colors...a person can only stomach so much black and gold!

True...I believe the colors were changed to Black and Gold in 1956, The year after my parents graduated. My Dads Letterman jacket is Purple and Gold.

I don't know Lady Pirate, I think you and I could tie.  My first Homecoming I was 6 months old.  I never even went to school in Vidor, I lived in Lumberton but every Friday night we would go to pick up my grandpa and take him to Vidor football games.  By the time I got old enough to chose if I wanted to go to Lumberton or Vidor games I was hooked on my Pirates!  Got married in 1995 and moved in 1996 but flew down that year for HC.  The past two years I have drove over 800 miles to cheer on the Pirates at Homecoming.  We are both pretty hardcore!!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PIRATESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!  Have fun tomorrow wish I could be at this one too!

Seriously???  Vidor has had (in the past), does have this year and will have good teams in the future.  They always play us hard.  No need to be pompous!

I will say it again, this is going to a GREAT game by BOTH teams!  Vidor is 7-1 so it doesn't really make sense to say "Vidor will never have a decent team" because last I checked we are currently in 2nd.  :)  And I agree, there is no need to be rude, everybody on this thread (for the most part) has been very nice to both teams.  GO PIRATES!!
