West Hardin at Lovelady Predictions & Thoughts...

Well, this could possibly be the determining game for the 11-1A district title.  Even though it's the first game of district play, it has the makings of being a good hard hitting game.

Last year Lovelady put a beating on West Hardin with a score of 47-13.  With the much improved Oiler team, I see a much closer game this time around.

I'll make my prediction:

West Hardin - 27
Lovelady - 21

Looking for a close, hard-hitting game.  It could go either way, but I'll have to go with the Oilers by 7.  Go OILERS!  :)

Lovelady is playing some tough teams this year and beating them handily. West Hardin will have their hands full to say the least. This is a game that could be lopsided either way due to turnovers or busted plays and if WH doesn't show up ready, the Lions will roll. I'm pulling for the Oilers, though, and hope they head into Lovelady prepared. I'm feeling optimistic and thinking with the extra week off to prepare and rest, West Hardin will come out firing on all cylinders and pull out of the most exciting matchup of this district race with their perfect record intact..

I have not seen Lovelady play, but West Hardin is one of most complete teams I have seen in a while in 1a.  I think if they come in and play their game they have a great chance to win this.  Keep your confidence.  I can't decide if I think low scoring or high scoring game, but I say WH by a TD either way.

Sorry guys.  Lovelady wins this one.  I'll say 31-14.  West Hardin has played absolutely nobody, so don't be fooled by the 5-0 record.

WH is a very solid team but Lovelady will be the best team they have played thus far, yes i agree that WH has been playing very average teams but they have been blowing out those average teams. i beleive had WH been playing a schedule with EC and buna on it they would have a great shot at beating the lions. I think  WH loses in a shootout 42- 35
before anyone jump on me no im not saying WH would beat EC or Buna but i believe they would be very close games and i am a ferm believer that you have to play better competition to get better

Nicely said D Wade, I agree about the better competion.  Oh well, I'm super stoked about this game.  If West Hardin gets a win over Lovelady, then the critics should see what I've been harping on all year.

I think it will be a one score game that could go either way. 

It's hunting season, so break out your best Safari outfit and lets get some Lions!

Lovelady's offense is the dangerous part of the team.  The defense is a couple of ticks below what it was last year IMO, but the O is better.  I'd be very surprised if WH held LL to 21 points.  If WH wins this game, they better put points on the board.  I don't know if they can score with LL.  We'll see.

Trust me speed is not what will hurt the oiler team they are very fast all over the field from skilled positions to lineman idk if they are as fast as lovelady but trust me speed wont be what hurts them in this game its a big brusing runningback is what will hurt this team they are very small on the D line

Speed will most for sure be what hurts West Hardin in this one. LL's #28 will be a speed that WH has not seen.  Fearless or not, you can't hit what you can't touch.....he scores 4 times.
