why even type this??  If you have a valid point and would like to make a educated comment even if its about losing or something your unhappy about then go for it!  Why take cheapshots?

Congrats Tiger on a hard fought game and a good season!  Get even with the roundball!!

Planned on just listening to a quarter or so, but couldn't leave the room after I started listening. After setx feed went out I switched to the Huffman feed, good job by both. Wish this game would have been on Friday night, but oh well. This game was what high school athletics is all about. Congrats on a great effort Silsbee and way to represent 22-AAA Huffman.

silsbee just can't get over the hump... but we got some freshmen that will lead us...

:) :) ;D ;D
[/quote]Lets just wait and see. You dont know how many years I have heard that. By the way not a good way to start off leading. Show us on the field, not by popping your chops.

I would like to add that this was my first year watching 3A football and my first year watching the Huffman Silsbee matchup and I was so impressed with both teams. Silsbee has some amazing athletes and it was the best high school game I think I've ever seen...better than any 5A game I've watched. But of course, way to go HUFFMAN, can't wait for next week!!!!

One of the best High school games I have ever seen.  It was even better watching it from Sillsbee's sideline and feeding off the players emotions.  I am not going to take nothing away from the players but there were 2 bad calls on Silsbee and a bunch of no calls against Huffman for blocking in the back and holding.  I lost count of how many times Silsbee's DB's were held by recievers and D-lineman held when got through O-line.  and when confronted the refs had no answer why the calls were made or not called.

Javelina, the refs were a little questionable. There were some of what you are talking about, probably a few the other way around. I do know there was a Silsbee turnover where the player was ruled down and wasn't and one play our db's were all over the receiver and it wasn't called. The ones that did bother me most at time were the late hit and celebration penalties. The late hit(OB) was on the opposite side so it could have been a good call. However it looked like our guy had him in bounds and then they went down out of bounds getting the flag. I couldn't see anything extra that warranted that penalty, there may have been. The celebration, unless I missed part of it, was just jubilation on the part of the Tigers for taking a comeback lead that late in the ballgame. To me it would take a little more to call it in that situation. Officiating may have been questionable but was not a big part of the game. No defensew for the most part was. Tired players from playing both sides of the ball was as well. Great game, great job by both teams.

How many players from Huffman played both ways in this game?

I can't give a number, but more than you'd think.

As far as officials go, there were bad calls for both sides. I'd say I saw both coaches screaming at them evenly... that may be my favorite part of HS football.
