This will be the end of Coldspring being a somewhat respectable program in terms of talent (hopefully not) and not just the things that you've listed. This has been a long time coming since the end of the Barbay years. Quote

I think that this would be a good destination spot for a young up and coming coach or someone that is local that knows the situation well and can turn us around... I think someone like Ben Goffney should definitely look into this. Quote

Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago Quick question: how's the community support for Coldspring football? Quote

This town has always had great community support where if we had good or bad seasons. Too many die-hard fans around there. But this seems to be more of a school board issue and some than others have truly overstayed their welcome. Quote

TxSportsfan80 Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago I believe the definition of community support depends on who you ask. Can’t pass a bond to improve facilities because the “community” support isn’t enough. RR is the interim just like last time. Quote

From what I've seen and know it was plenty "in the community" that was upset that this bond did not pass. I saw the Facebook live when they had the presentation for it and what it would take to get it passed. Quote
TxSportsfan80 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago It was roughly 70% against for the second time and that’s with very little athletic improvements in the bond. Quote

With this amount I see why it did not pass. Quote
TxSportsfan80 Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago I do not disagree with that, there are better options for what they are wanting, unfortunately athletics will not be a part of any passing bond in Coldspring. At least that’s what I’ve been told from community members. Quote

I'm actually surprised that the front of the school looks like it does now. Quote

The best football players from Coldspring are already going to Shepherd. What is really sad is that the rest of the football players will join the basketball players in Onalaska when they start football. Quote
