Yes, it seems we start most games in the hole, giving up 2-3 runs in the 1st inning. Even with the bad pitching, there were several games in reach with RISP and we just didn’t deliver.

Athletics are 18-16. Houston is 14-22. Down 4 in win column, down 6 in loss column. That makes you 5 games back.

Astros beat the Dodgers 2-1. Both runs were solo HRs. Should have been a shutout, but I’ll take it.

Lambert pitched well 104 pitches low hit total King pretty good for save and got scary.

That was one of the better pitching performances so far this season. Came against a very prolific offensive team.

combine the stros' offense with the rangers' pitching and you're looking at a 100-win team.

Today is the 41st game for Houston. Astros have had 41 different lineups. They have not replicated one lineup this season.

That's what a mass of injuries to ever day players will do to a ball club.

IMO I know they  are switching lineups trying to find the right combo but they can never learn to play with each other it seem like.

Should have kept Dubón. Correa (even though he is now hurt) is not a leadoff batter, Alvarez should bat 3rd. Now we have rumors of trading Alvarez.

At this point I don't believe there is anyone that's any better that anyone wants to trade.  I definitely agree with you on Dubon, that was a big loss for sure. IMO

If the front office views this as a lost season then they'd probably try to get a haul of high-end prospects, especially since Yordon is under contract thru 2028.
