As far as the WOS fans go, there is endless transcript of who they blame. Everyone can read it easily enough. Check out WOS/HF thread for a good example.

Then why don't they opt up to 4A DI? They have that option.

What difference would it make? Keeping in mind they have already beat one of the 4AD1 State Championship participants.

Mustang Nation who will be home team or is there one? How do they determine what side of the Stadium each team will set on. I kind of forgot how that process works. 

I know that Mustangs Nation is all about Football, but I want to give a congratulations to Mighty Mustang Marching Band (M3) who will perform and do a great job at AT&T.  Drill team Filly's and Dance team Great Job students.

This I know. They also had Brock ranked above Carthage. And the DCTF Computer AI algorithm that everyone loves had them 3 pts better. Point is they play on the field for a reason. Nobody laying down and taking it from Carthage this week. It will be game.

There's no question that anything is possible.. and there's a reason the game is played.  The team with lesser talent wins from time to time.  I wouldn't say all the time.. but enough that people know that it's never a good idea to count someone out.  But... if I were a betting man, I'd say that I believe Carthage takes it convincingly.

Don't get me wrong, I'm pulling for WOS (if for no other reason than to ask the WOS faithful if they still want to fire the coach).. but I think the Bulldogs will just be too much.

I hope I'm wrong.

Definitely. And for the record: Kilgore, PG, and Brock are quite a better than anyone on the WOS schedule. No offense, just facts.

That is my interest as well. WOS fans have identified as some of the more “out of touch” fans around the state. I enjoy illustrating their shifting and changing lanes. 
 

I would be hard pressed to find a coaching staff as high grade as WOS who has endured more complete nonsense from the fan base.

Will there be a community pep rally? I'm hoping WOS will stream it, I would like it very much to be a part of it all the way from Spring. Since I have a relative who is a coach at WOS. They could care less what people who are not in our community says. Those who do care will most likely leave it is a choice that they will make one way or another (imo).

Unfortunately...I think this one will get out of hand. Carthage is absolutely loaded and their defense matches up well with the WOS offensive attack IMO.

Time will tell...but give me the Bulldogs by 21+

True, it was more of a general statement than about this game specifically.  They just show a lot of favoritism towards the     DFW/N TX teams.

Carthage fan here apologizing for the error made in my very first post on this site in the Sinton thread. I posted the score of a 2008 Rockdale-Carthage playoff game as being a WO-S-Carthage game. I was relying on a website which listed all Carthage playoff games, which go back to the 40s. The lesson is not to believe everything you read! 

WO-S is on quite a roll. Says a lot about the character of a team to overcome the adversity of starting a season 2-3 by winning 10 straight to get to the state championship game. Expecting a great game Friday between two schools with impressive pedigrees…and some great athletes.
