Hardin is coming off a big win against Orangefield this past Friday, while East Chambers scrambled out a win against Buna.

Both teams are undefeated on the season and look to stay atop the hill as the leader of District 10-3A D1. 

In 2024, East Chambers defeated Hardin 28-22

How do you see this one playing out and why? What type of score do you see as the outcome?

I'm curious to know how many times Hardin has actually played both of them the same year.. Can't be that many.

According to MaxPreps, the last time Hardin defeated East Chambers was in 2008.  The last time Hardin defeated Orangefield was in 2018.  It does not show anything previous to 2017, in terms of Hardin playing against Orangefield. Does that sound correct?

Out of curiosity, do you happen to know what OF's current numbers look like?  I mean.. I know we'll all know in a few weeks or so.  But... still curious.

It's going to be interesting this time.  If what I'm hearing is correct.  Which isn't always the case.

OF is sitting around 521 right now according to the person that does the counting.

If that holds true through the count, it looks like they won't be jumping in classification.

I heard this weekend Hardin has only won district in football 2 times. In their whole school history.  2 district championships in football.  Can that be confirmed?    If so I believe number 3 is on the way.

EC might have some help this week. They've been without their main two running backs in the Liberty and Buna games. Had to run their freshman RB, who's been serviceable. If Koby Jones can take the field, it'll help a ton. Get a 1-2 action with Jones as a bruiser and the freshman as a speed/change of pace guy.

Hardin folks and Coach Taylor have stressed how good their O-Line is. I believe it, but EC is going on a second week of seeing a similar double wing look.

That being said: Might give Hardin a touchdown/two touchdown advantage.

JD Zurby (AKA Slinger) Throw For 94 Yards And 1 Touchdowns. Rashard Hale ( AKA Freshman) Led The Team In Rushing As He Carried The Ball 15 Times For 91 Yards. Darius Edmonson (AKA Bus) Rushed The Ball 6 Times For 28 Yards And 2 Touchdowns. Ethan West (Glue) Led The Bucs In Receiving With 3 Catches For 18 Yards and 1 Touchdown. Note: The Buccaneer Offense Was Without Leading Rusher Koby Jones (AKA Bulldozer) And Earius Ceasar (AKA Mighty Mouse).  Will Zurby (Slinger) And The East Chambers Offense Be Able To Put Together The Run And Pass To Lead The Bucs To Victory Or Will Hardin Defense Shut Them Down?

East Chambers needs Jones back at RB to balance things out and open the pass game again. I don't feel like Hardin wins matchups with EC receivers. Hardin's O will be tough for them to slow down and they hold the ball with that O. EC could pull it out, I hope they do, but I got Hardin by 1 to 2 scores.

My opinion:

OF > EC.  Hardin beat OF.  Hardin beats EC.. as long as they don't have any penalties/turnovers.

After watching the game Friday, I don't believe anyone stops that offense except for Hardin (in district).  So as long as they hold on to the ball, it shouldn't be an issue.  That makes it to where they only need to stop EC once or twice.
