I been hearing some kids who weren’t recruited, aren’t the right size, but can play, aren’t even being able to walk on to programs cause hard cap at 105 and 85 scholarships and rest or NIL related transfers take up walk on spots. I haven’t been around that world over 25 years was just curious what yall thoughts are on this? Is JUCO still an avenue to get to a university? Or has NIL taken that away because of the transfers?

The teams in those years I still don’t think would have done anything in 2A. Just saying.

That 3A QB thru for 320 against deer park and 380 against Manvel. And maybe their protection wasn’t as good against PAM and Sterling. But who knows.

I don’t know Sterling teams from the past. But they seem to be a decent team. I know BH under performed but you have to give Sterling some credit. Had a game plan and executed it.

I heard this weekend Hardin has only won district in football 2 times. In their whole school history. 2 district championships in football. Can that be confirmed? If so I believe number 3 is on the way.

It’s definitely a battle… who will be backing up Barrier. Prolly won’t make that decision till the first game.

Let’s be honest and I’m not sure if this is known, but if the parents wouldn’t have rushed the court it would have never came this far. Kids and team would have been punished with game suspensions and forfeits and everybody would have moved on. Kids fighting. Not the end of the world. It happens. HD can be held responsible and should be for their retaliation, but to be treated unfairly by the UIL and the public isn’t fair. There has never been an incident under the current AD before at HD. Also in my opinion, handled the whole situation the best it could have possible been handled. But as always can do better, every situation always can when looking back at it. Even the local community don’t know when to shut up. And because of their actions rushing the court, this thing is where it is now and won’t die. Even the local paper is on the attack. But it’s all good. This too shall pass. It’s easy kick someone when they down. And also being a small district like HD helps. UIL wanted to make an example of someone, so they chose two 1A schools. It was easy for them. Threw them through the grinder, well at least one school. Yep I believe Burkeville, since the first punch thrown to the meeting yesterday has botched this whole ordeal and just flying under radar with no public scrutiny at all. Like they wasn’t even apart of it. UIL and NCAA are the same thing. Politics and power.
