WOS offense is really not that good,probably score 10 or less against a powerhouse team as La Vega

Well we didn't get there against a middle of the pack defense and I have to think LV is better than Ned

WOS.  They'll get it together. Eliminate the penalties mistakes and bad officiating and they should have beaten Nederland. If the OL works on their blocking this week they'll be off to the races. And with all due respect to the kicker, special teams should work on the fake field goal, fake extra points, and onside kick, I think they'll come in handy.

Wonder if Nederland feels like they could have done better without "penalties, mistakes and bad officiating"? You make some brilliant points. Hopefully WOS will "work on their blocking this week" and also "fake field goal, fake extra points and onside kicks". Will not have much time after they work on "victory formation" and "spiking the ball".

You act like Ned didn't have any penalties, they did.  Some that were badly timed as well.  Part of the game.

I don't know what WOS has but I went to La Vega to watch their first Saturday practice in full pads. Unfortunately, not much hitting just special teams work and pix. I spoke with their hc  Coach Hyde I believe and congratulated him on last year where they lost at Jerry World to Carthage. They actually played a good game and kept it close for a while. He didn't want to hear that. If its the same qb as last year (i think it is cause I saw him at practice) he is  built like a refrigerator with great feet but he thinks he is Dan Marino. He doesn't realize the damage he could do on running-- maybe he's more confident this year. Glad i don t have to feed him.

One i remember was something out of bounds on the Ned side. Moved the ball up from 8 to 23. And what did we do? Tried a deep shot into double coverage for an interception. This is our style of shooting ourself in the foot. Take a gift and squander it. 3 drives stalled inside the 5... 14-6

Yeah that was one of the dumb ones by Ned because I think it was third down and WOS was pinned back in their end and gave them a first.  I think another might have cost a scoring drive.  Anyway, it’s still early in the season but both teams need to clean those up.
