Bring back the 50 defense
If I'm not mistaken, mabe wos drummer or Mr AggiesAreWe can double check the fcats Last year we got our butt's kick in north vs south in the state championships games. Png is the only program that stood on business and brought one back. I know about us guys but to me that's flat out embarrassing and weak in my book. Let's get going this time around and get behind every team that's makes it to the promise land and swing it back this way. My family in Dallas to smack already saying the south don't want any of the no no land. I FEEL LIKE THAT'S CHALLENGE. We gotta show up and out this year. Calling us paper championships down here.🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
WOSdrummer99
You're basically right about last season. Would probably be the same going back futher than that. North vs South is an uphill battle considering the UIL can't read a map. They even put PNG in the North bracket after back to back trips to Arlington. Suprised they never tried that with North Shore. Nope they needed that re re re rematch again with Dville. Ratings and ticket sales dictate the paths. Also 8 of the 12 teams Tepper predicts to win are from the North. We should revisit this during state week when they show the map where all teams are located on the state map. I doubt all areas/regions will be represented evenly. They never are. But most times the majority of schools are from the Northeast quadrant of our great state. Wonder if the same is true in many other sports? Matthew328
The teams that made state last year are fairly evenly distrubuted..because you'll always have a R3 and R4 team there...teams that won last year were heavily leaning to R1 and R2 Timpson and PNG were there only R3/R4 teams who won last year in UIL 11man

BADSANTA
The state championship should be played in Houston and Dallas changing every year or 2. I think that's fair to both sets of fans traveling from the Houston area. outanup and Bring back the 50 defense 1

If a team can't get ready to play the state championship game, no matter where it is, they shouldn't be there. North Shore has had plenty of success against Duncanville in the game, despite it being in DVille's back yard. Not talking about teams getting ready for Dallas, but convenience for fans in the eastern part of the state. UIL knows that Dallas Fans will not travel the way some of the other regions fans will. So UIL logic dictates...poor Dallas Area Fans, there is no reason to make them travel, so let's punish all the teams whose fans who are willing to support their teams by traveling. Sure the fans would appreciate a short trip for their State Championship football game, but we don't have to care about them. Remember the fans are the reason schools can afford to have a high school football program. How about we take care of the fans, for a change, & rotate out the State Championship Games between Houston & Dallas. outanup

The games are at AT&T because it is the crown jewel stadium in the state and brings in thousands of fans year in and year out to enjoy the games, whether their home teams are playing or not. My family has attended 13 years in a row for the entire weekend. Kids all over the state grow up praying for the opportunity to play in that stadium and it is the only stadium with adequate locker room space to host all the games in a single location. NRG was an absolute disaster last time the games were hosted there so it will never return. Also, Jerry Jones is a great host for the UIL and has been a great partner in platforming TXHSFB for the rest of the nation. ace2335

Continue to happily swim through your own opinion, as noone else's opinion matters, as far as your concerned. I agree that the UIL will not pull the games away from AT&T. Of course we all know what great decisions the UIL makes. It is why my high school team, that is located in Southeast Texas, near the border of Louisiana, plays in the North Texas Region. Brilliant reasoning, and even more brilliant lack of caring for our fans to have to have excessive travel not only to just district games, much less, the state championship. God Bless you my Friend. Keep pulling for your team with gusto! I will keep supporting my team, and their fans, as well. KF89 and jayhawk

I still show great concern for the fans of the other teams that will be there, that can't afford to travel, & will never be respected for their effort to watch their team at the State Championship games in person, instead of on TV. It's a shame the fans don't all live in the Dallas Area. Then the UIL would have respect for them coming to watch their team & thanking them after making the long, perilous 35 minute drive to get to the stadium.🏈 Blessings to all the boys in the football playoffs to be safe from injury. One of the most incredible things about the PNG fan base is how well they travel, and I always thought that was something which was a great source of pride for their fans. According to you, everyone is upset about having to travel and needs an advocate to support them in their fight for less travel. Good luck to you. png9mon
The ability to travel & the desire to travel are 2 different things. PNG fans love their football & will travel regardless. Other schools have fans that love their football teams, but do not have the ability, or finances to travel. Dallas fans will never have to worry about travel for the State Championship, regardless of their ability, or desire, to do so. Ain't that just wonderful for them. I am an advocate for all the teams that have excessive travel, for district games & especially a State Championship, if they are blessed enough to get there. That was my point!😁🏈 PNG HAS A SPECIAL SPIRIT, PASS IT ON!!! Bring back the 50 defense
