Starting this topic for the 5 of us that care.

Spidersal and I can rip on Lamar if nothing else.  Give em hell Sir Spider.

1 win in week 1 by HCU against and an NAIA independent.  The Big Sky and FBS schools dominated the rest.

Week 2 could leave the conference with another 1 win week. UIW over Northern Colorado is the only game with a SLC favorite as most are playing up a level this week.  Commerce has the only other FCS vs FCS game (Sacremento State).

Lamar played tough

Idaho dismantled Nevada.  Thus, it's difficult to make any real "judgement" on Lamar with regards to improvement at this point.  South Dakota is no powerhouse, but a quality FCS year in and year out.  Might be the first real "measuring stick."

Visited with an SLC coach who basically said the same thing about measuring with his squad based on first 2 opponents being at a completely different level.

McNeese loses 31-28 after having a 28-7 lead in 1st half.  TAMC fails on 2pt conversion and falls to Old Dominion 10-9.  TAMC was a massive underdog.

All other games just started at 6.  LU and UIW already up in games they should win.  In an early surprise HCU up 17-6 early on SELA in the only in-conference game.

Lamar, U of the Incarnate Word, and Nicholls are all winners today. McNeese @ Commerce started at 7.

Extremely early in conference play, but Lamar sits at the top with Nicholls at 2-0.  UIW is also undefeated having played only 1 conference game. Commerce is playing its first game of conference tonight.  The other 4 have at least one loss.

Lamar travels to preseason favorite, yet 0-6, Southeastern next week.

Lamar @ SELA...Commerce @ The Word.  These are the 2 conference matchups today.  PV @ HCU is the other game.

Sad situation at Northwestern State as one of their players was shot and killed this week.  Thus, game @ Nichlls was cancelled. The young man, Ronnie Caldwell, was from Austin and played at Cedar Park before attending Tyler JC.

Lamar hangs on to beat SELA.  UiW  beats A&M Commerce pulling away late 28-11.  If UIW beats McNeese next week, which would be expected, Lamar hosts UIW with both sitting at 3-0 in conference and UIW ranking in the FCS top 10 (6 going in to today's game) on the 28th.

HCU up 30-0 on PV in the 4th.

The only other undefeated in Nicholls at 2-0.  They are at Commerce next week after today's game against Northwestern was canceled.

    • You have more faith than some other WOS fans😂
    • Go live in a third world country then get back to me about the word “poor”…..you ll have a different perspective.  Your right a kid shouldn’t suffer for parents decisions, but that’s the world we live in created by those who don’t teach responsibility as well as handicapping by giving handouts.  Cause and effect.   Now yes there are people who are hit with some tragic unforeseen circumstances who need help to get back on their feet but that’s different then a habitual irresponsible lifestyle  fema is a totally different animal.  And it’s actually  something I’ve never had to deal with…..so I can’t really speak on it but I do know it’s a govt agency and most govt agencies are poorly ran.  Natural disasters have been part of this earth for a long time….way before fema came along and people have managed. said kids get taught by said parents that the govt owes them for their circumstances instead of seeing for what it really is and the lesson that should actually be taken from such a life…..”I’m not going to be like my parent or parents….im going to look at others as examples …..my teachers, my coaches, any aunts or uncles, relatives etc etc that are successful…..I’m going to work hard and smart and make good decisions and what bad decisions I do make I’m going to learn from.” Suffering is a great teacher.  This earthly place is temporary and many will suffer even the righteous and even children. Life on earth is not fair….its not a new concept. The good ole race card.  I’m not surprised. I feel the same way no matter the color.  Whites are just as guilty as any other race.  It’s not a race issue it’s a culture issue.  You have allowed color to guide your thought process…..is that what you were taught. how bout you check out the income of many of those politicians you vote for who care so much about kids.  They go in as an every day working citizens then come out millionaires off of shady deals, kickbacks and taxpayers backs. They keep promising y’all false promises and you keep falling for it….bidens been doing it for over 40 years. i just wasted time on this reply because you are not hearing any of it……..you want handouts with no accountability. .sorry to the posters who wasted their time reading this…..it got off topic.

    • And that was in “deep blue” NJ.
    • Baseball bat time again. You mentioned two “mental” disorders. That tells me they are made up in someone’s mind. Allowing a male in women’s restrooms and letting them compete in women’s sports makes them feel better about themselves? All they amount to is males who can’t hack it in the real world.
