First time seeing the hardwood this season, for myself and about half the team. Is Vidor a favorite vs Kelly? I would imagine so but you never know about the private schools.

Pirates starting the basketball kids tonight, lots of underclassmen playing in this one. Likely Senior starters coming off the bench, taking some time to work the football guys in I guess.

Kelly out to a quick lead, some football kids in off the bench to bring it close and it immediately gets really chippy in here.

These kids are playing with some serious emotion tonight, both teams getting a little chippy. Free throw shooting contest at the end of the half.

Some sloppy basketball as can be expected for the first game of the year.

Much closer than it should have been but a win, is a win. 
 

We played bad and missed a lot of free throws but Kelly outdid us tonight. If they don’t figure a whole lot of things out the next game against HF may be a slightly different outcome.

Baby steps Hag, just sneaking into the playoffs would be a major accomplishment on the hardwood. The team has some talent but it's going to take them a while to get it together. Just a bunch of athletes running around right now but hey, we have a good defense lol.

Goin from 5a to 4a should make it lots easier.  Lumberton really took off when we dropped and now we prolly ready to compete with the 5a's again.  I hope vidor does good.
