Rushing yards vs. Nederland this season...

Brenham 131 yards (this team had a huge line and a couple of capable backs, their QB was not much of a running threat but a true pocket passer(166 passing yards)

Forest Brook  41 yards (30 of these came on one play when their RB got loose for a TD. This team has no offensive line, but I wish we had their tailback. If he had some blocking he would be dangerous. Also, their QB was no passing threat(20 passing yards)

Waller  318 yards (most of these were long runs by the QB who was very elusive, they also had two other big strong backs that ran behind a physical offensive line. They averaged around 7 yards per rush and in my opinion this team will be able to run the ball every week. They ran for 204 against Lamar Consolidated who has a very good D and for 367 yards against Bay City. Without the LOOOONNNGGG runs by the QB, I'd say we held them to 2-3 yards per rush, but I know that those long runs count too!)

Nederland has allowed 18 points per game on average. 163 ypg on the ground. 84 ypg thru the air.

I am happy with our defense thus far. If we can keep from giving up big plays then this defense will be a force. I hope everyone subscribes to the theory that we are soft up the middle because that couldn't be further from the truth in my opinion. I actually think that is our major strength on D. Our passing stats look really good, but we have yet to face an elite passing attack.

we are fine. what's your point??? we don't get excited about preseason victories. besides, nobody pick us to do anything anyway. so we are not the ones under the microscope. oh and lamarque is still winning...wait the state champs are still winning.

What would you think of another LM / Stephenville title game?

Great job Nederland....keep it up!!!!!!!

We are only under your microscope. No one has picked Ned to do anything either, except make the playoffs. What's so wrong about that? Even PAM can make the playoffs. Remember, 4 of you suckers get to go. Should be a walk in the park.

As James said earlier, you keep making predictions about Nederland and one day you will be right!  The sad thing is when you are right, you will be the first one on here saying "I told you so".  Why can't you come on here and do the opposite when your predictions about Nederland are wrong.  Which is most of the time!!!

You're right Titan, preseason don't matter... we told you that last year, when the dirt was being thrown on the Dogs grave but the pundits like yourself... preseason don't matter.  Last year they mattered... and well some folks missed the boat.  Now Ned is 3-0 and well let's see... preseaon don't matter... does it... or does it not.  Good thing all Neumann does is prepare his team for war each week the best he can... otherwise it would get confusing what to worry about.

YEA RAG THE DOGS,BUT THEIR IN YEAR AND YEAR OUT.YOU CAN NOT DENIE THAT! I THOUGHT WE SUPPOSE TO SUPPORT OUR LOCAL TEAMS! I ROOT FOR BIG NED AND I DO NOT EVEN  LIVE IN THEIR SCHOOL DISTRICT. NEUMAN HAS A GOOD PROGRAM WORKING,AND JUST MAYBE THEY WILL NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS BUT ITS NICE SEEING  OUR AREA TEAMS ROLL LIKE WO-S AND OTHERS THE LAST FEW YEARS.

Patitan, why do you make a fool out of yourself on here everyday? I don't care if you live in LM now and claim to be a fan. Your hometown team / teams cannot claim any of the successes the mid-county teams have had over the last 20 years. You hate it but you know deep down your Titans / Jaguars / Panthers will never be on the same level success wise as Nederland. And trust me, that is hard for me to say being a PN-G grad and fan. I also doubt PN-G / Ned will lose to both Beaumont schools. I wiould be willing to go out on a limb and say PN-G / NED will combine for better year this year than Ozen / Central.

This is from a 'freshman' poster.  That's all I have to say.  All Ozen has to do is put their offense together, and they will be neck and neck with the rest.

I guess "freshman poster" matters. I assume that is better than an idiot poster. Ozen put it togethor to the tune of 1-9 last year. They have not proved nothing so far this year. From a talent level PN-G should not be able to keep up in two weeks, and who knows maybe they will not. But history is on our side, so until things change and the BMT schools consistently beat the MC schools the way they have handled them, all bets are off. Bmtsoulja, I have nothing bad to post about you. You seem to be pretty unbiased in your posts. if patitan / sfa85 can throw it around I will throw it back.

Ozen's stats, especially on defense, speak for themselves.  They'll hold their end of the Beaumont vs. MC matchup this year for sure.  While PN-G's playing Silsbee, Ozen played their 3rd 5A school in a row and have improved every week.  Everyone has a week off to improve and heal so I expect big things from the Panthers when the Tribe comes to Lamar.  As for Central, kinda hard to talk s---on the Jags when they have a 3-2 lead on PN-G and a 4-1 lead on Nederland since dropping to 4A

Yea, I try to stay as unbiased as I can.  85 is right though.  Ozen's D is coming together and looks impressive.  And Central always comes out to play the MC schools.  I think it's going to be difficult for MC this year.  BTW, when everyone was downing our 1-9 season, we came back and won the district championship.  Ozen has talent there.  And trust me, that coach of theirs is special.

Let me jut say this, do you two really think that we will see a playoffs this year without a MC team? It is possible, but all your bs bias aside, do you think it will happen? Do you think Central, Ozen, PAM will ever put togethor a year like PN-G had in 99'? Do you think any of those three will ever have a run of playoff appearances like Ned? why have they not done it yet? If the MC schools suck as bad as you think, why can't the BMT schools say they have accomplished anything close? Why did Central struggle to beat a Houston Sterling team that (3A) Silsbee beat? The same Silsbee team PN-G blew out. For all the irrational bs you guys spew on here, you have nothing to back it up except for the exception of Central's success against MC.

But your wrong.  Brook has went 3 rounds deep for the last 2 years.  they lost to Katy the year before last, a state power.  Last year they lost to Cy-Falls, who were your state finalist.  I went to the brook/Falls game.  Brook had a team that was just as talented as Falls, but lost due to turnovers.  Central made a the second round the last 2 years losing to Brenham the year before, and last year losing to LaMarque, your 4a defending champs.  We were just as talented as Lamarque, but lost because of coaching miscues.  Ozen did make the playoffs the year before, but got beat by a great Marshall squad.  As far as Central struggling with Sterling, Central kept fumbling.  They had no problem moving the ball, as you can look at the boxscore.  Silsbee let that team score 32 points and they only managed 6 points.  Basically what I'm saying, this MC vs BMT thing will be interesting, and very great.  Dont' look for either BMT team to be overlooked in MC coaches eyes, as vise versa with the BMT coaches.

You are so right there, Soulja.  IMO, that goes for any team against any district opponent this year.  We have always said this district is tough, but I think 2007 has more parity than in years past.  This race is gonna be wide open!

Contrary to popular belief in the MC, Ozen has the tools to be a force this year in 22-4A. IMO, Central always has a good crew, and I think once Dayton runs into a well prepared D, they are gonna have some problems. Nederland is going to have to take it one game at a time like they have been doing. LCM and Lumberton will be facing adversity all season long playing against the pereniall powerhouses of the district. Vidor, as usual, will be the district door mat.
