4.
Does anyone here have the total budget for extra-curricular activities for Nederland ISD?
976 trillion
 5. Yes Nederland should feel so good about themselves for not passing a bond, it was such the right thing to do. That why these schools are wrong so wrong and these students will suffer from there bond being passed, WOW 2 passed since 2006, PNG (good god why would you want your kids in a brand new JR, and elementary schoos, BISD, Port Arthur way to nice of a High School, etc too many to count.  Smitty is so right let never build anything nice in NEderland, no to extra curricualar activities, school 7 days a week for 10 hours a day.  Lets have the lowest tax rate in Jefferson county O wait we already do.
 6.
Duane Kroecker from PNG would be an outstanding person for this job.
Fired from PNG
Jealous opinion............
The FACT is that the plants are in a money crunch, like everyone else, and they give a fraction of what they did in the past.  No one's complaining about it, as we are all so appreciative of every dollar, but the days of big money donations seem to be over, at least for the time being.
Who cares were the money comes from, the CARE group is ruining nederland..

Must be nice.
Its not the school that is doing it, its the parents and supporters. The school isn't paying any of the construction cost. Tell the Nederland parents and supporters to get off there wallets.
We won't even build new schools, we're gonna watch our town fall down around our ankles... while arguing over a couple a thousand spent on tiddly winks.  I strongly encourage every voter in Nederland to find out where candidates for the board stand on progressing the district for our kids into the 21st century.  I had an interesting interraction with one of the candidates and it threw up a major red flag for me in regards to their support of our kids.
At the risk of getting off topic, I could not agree with Penny more...Nederland voters won't even commit to improving educational facilities much less athletic ones...unless some forward thinkers begin to gain influence in Nederland, I fear our community is headed toward deterioration...Nederland is getting old fast
People in Nederland don’t want forward thinkers, all people care about is keeping taxes down.  From a board candidate "we are not in a competition with our neighbors” That’s what Nederland wants that what we will get, old buildings, and people leaving Nederland everyday. Heck Port Arthur, and Beaumont have new schools and facilities.  Nederland will turn into a slum........
 9.
25-50 yrs. ago, how did teams ever practice without indoor facilities?  Oh yeah, they practiced OUTSIDE where the games are played!!
So take the air conditioning out of your car and your house then, and all indoor plumbing.
 10. Nederland will be great then for many years to come, no new elementary schools, and no improvements to anything.  Tax payers are keeping there money and just think in 10 years how great the schools at Nederland will be.  I applaud all the schools in the area that are making improvements there schools and stadiums.
 11. Vidor ahead of Nederland in your ratings?  Didn't Nederland beat vidor?
 12. Tell us smitty, I guess you consider yourself a bulldog fan?  To want to fire someone?  You go ahead and look at PN-G as long as you want and how about you just become a NDN fan while your at it.  You have worn your welcome here at Nederland.
This "D" problem didn't start three years ago. It's been a problem for many years.  With the exception of around 98, maybe 99, through 03 or 04, the defense has had problems.  The same problems existed when DeRouren was HC.  What's the common denominator?  Everyone knows my solution.  Trust me, you make this change and "D" stats improve 1,000%. I'm not talking about a total change, but some change is good.  Just look at PN-G.
 13. Not sure I follow, but Price was let go because the football program at BH has peeked and change was needed. Being a coach is not your typical 9-5 job you are judged upon W's and L's as well as the other aspects of the job. When you have a job that is paid for by tax dollars then you are at the mercy of those who pay the taxes. Politics is a major part of this, but you just can't have a coach at a school for 40 years because he shows up on time! Now that being said Price did much more that just show up on time he pulled this program out of the gutter in 99' to go three rounds in the 3A playoffs barly losing to a Robinson team that I beleive went to state that year! Although I have been a major complainer when it comes to football over the years I wish Coach Price well and hope he lands a job that fits him and wish his family well. I have always thought Price was a good AD his management skills are fantastic, but at some point along the way the connection was lost with the kids. Again Thank You coach Price and may you and your family find success wherever you may go. Now the next concern will BH learn from PNG's success and go out State wide and pay top dollar for a proven AD? Or will the good ole boy hunt begin for a cousin/friend to take over the program? I hope we do this right and find someone to take this talent that is comming up and do something with it!!
if BH does what PNG does that will be to go state wide and find a unproven AD
 14. smitty = idoit smitty = the kid that picked last at recess smitty = needs to move to egypt
 15. SHUT UP SMITTY..........................
 16. I told you 20,000 less than last year. Am I right about that smitty? smitty come on now, I think you need to find yourself a good woman to get your mind off of this topic. We all understand you know all the answers and we don't. You are aganist athletics, and the administration of nederland. We get it
 17. Nederland teachers make about $5000 a year more than I do, once again we would kill for another $5000. We are at pretty much state pay. ( The way you keep paying teachers past 20 years would give me an additional $9000 a year.) Nederland has about 300 teachers, so if they really want to repair the buildings, take the additional $5000 away until they can pass a new bond. 300x5000= $1,500,000. That could fix some schools.... YOu call yourself a teacher?? I'm glad you don't teach my kids with that assanine statement. What? Give up pay for the good of the school district? I understand it is not enough money to fix the district, but it would go along way to help patch until you can pass a bond.... Folks in Nederland, I do not think you understand, until you see what I am teaching in, your district is a Taj Mahal....My flag still has 48 stars....Literally.... The Taj Mahal is due to the people, not the facilities. It's time the facilities match the people. Not really, I am thrilled I don't have to teach Nederland kids, or put up with their parents. I was offered a position in NISD about 20 years ago and I am SO glad I didn't take it. I love my kids, I think I have the best in the area. And what seems to be your problem with the kids and parents in NISD ?? (and how is this relative to the bond issue ?) Hey, it was someone else who brought up the people of NISD. I just do not want to deal with NISD patrons. And as I look back, I am so glad I am where I am. \ We don't care
 18. OK smitty keep typing away and showing your Ignorance that fine. Smitty won he won everyone, so everyone that voted for the bond was dumb and smitty was right. People of Nederland should worry about themselves and no else. There is a recession going on even though Allen, College Station voted for their bond but theres probably not a recession in those areas. Lets keep our old out dated falling to pieces buildings because they are historic. Port Neches can keep their fancy buildings who needs them, the people of Nederland don't. If we did vote for the bond we would not be to afford the bond and we would have to combine with PA. THeres nothing wrong with Nederland schools just get some duct tape and that will solve all the problems. Smitty for school board, city council, mayor, state rep, state gov.................GO SMITTY Is that what you wanted?
 19. I agree close the topic............
 20. smitty go help save the whales org or better yet the carabao

 22. they do, unless you think that the spread is shotgun.
 23. what will you do now smitty that the bond is over? Next i guess you will finding other ways to talk down about the School district and the people that are in favor of improving their town.
