A District 12-3A-I opener features a couple undefeated teams as the Buna Cougars host the Orangefield Bobcats tonight!

Bradley Morgan's Cougars, 3-0 on the season, were last in action two weeks ago against Coldspring-Oakhurst, a 40-32 win.  Meanwhile, Josh Smalley's Bobcats also come into this game 3-0 after a 41-0 win over Hardin-Jefferson two weeks ago.

It was tied at 14 with 7 minutes to go in the game, OF had a 4th and 4 around midfield, decided to punt. Another bad snap gave Buna the ball inside the 20 and they scored a few plays later. 2pt made it 22-14. Very next play for OF receiver tipped a pass in the air and a Buna defender caught the deflection in stride and walked in the endzone. In about 20 secs Buna was up 30-14. A lot closer game than the final score indicated. Good ball game, Buna has a very good team. OF qb got hurt late in the game, didn't look good, hope he's ok, huge part of this team.

This was a typical OF/Buna game. Both teams left it all on the field. Like good teams do, Buna took advantage of the opportunities. Connell was as good as advertised. OF didn't tackle him all night. Buna's defense impressed me. I think they held OF to less than 200 total yards. Didn't see that coming. Good luck Cougars the rest of the season!

Saw the mom of the OF QB post on Facebook that the Dr thinks he tore is ACL and MCL. He's having an MRI next week. If this is the case that's a big loss, he's a huge part of the offense.

    • If the voting public is so flaky that 3/4 will turn against her because of this news, why didn't they also turn on Obama when it was discovered that he actually ate dog? Maybe because the media didn't play up his transgressions? And if that is the case, how much power does the media have? They can sink a career for killing a dog, but dismiss and bury a story of eating a dog? How influential would the media be if someone other that Trump won the nomination. Let's say DeSantis was the Republican frontrunner...how easy would it be for the media to bury his candidacy...instead of him having that perceived cakewalk to president? I'm just thinking out loud.
