2018 Early Chatter

This thread don't get much hype from the area, so I will start it off. I don't have all of the tournament teams Barbers Hill is playing this year, but I have most. I think our non-district schedule is very tough.

Galveston Ball, Baytown Sterling, College Park, Pearland Dawson, Langham Creek

Dickinson, Pearland, LaPorte, Cy-Ranch ( have 5 kids 90+ FB, D-1 loaded)

Round Rock Westwood, PNG 

I'm probably missing about 4 games, but dang that's a tough schedule. One thing for sure, we will find out what our young team will be like before district starts. Anyone else want to weigh in on your school's non-district schedule or team preview?

Poor coach won't have enough innings to pass around. Good problem to have.

PNG has 3 90+ in Hranicky (90-93), Holden Lane (90-94), and Jammison Simmons (90-92). Three more at (85-90) in Alec Lebouf and Austin Schaupper and Brandon Petix.

Great pitchers, but come on, 93 and 94...  something magical must've happened over the summer / fall.

3 in the 90’, I would have to see it with my own eyes to believe it. And I mean from a mound in game action.

Agreed Ty. There are only a handful of kids in the entire area that can even touch 90. I know of 3 and even all three of those can't sit 90 consistently. They all can or have touched the magic number before. And this I have seen with my own eyes with calibrated radar guns.

After watching the scrimmage on Monday, I will not dispute a pitch here and there will hit 90; however, sitting in the 90s is completely different, which is not happening.

After watching all scrimmages and seeing the guns that are at the games. .PNG has 3 guys that can touch 90 but only 1 that can pitch at 89-91......5 that sit 84-87.......and multiple guys at 79-84.......the 90 number is thrown around like mardi gras beads....PNG will be a solid team but right now pitching is an issue....along with a couple defensive positions....Good luck Coach Carter hope you get things fixed.
