Thursday 

#2 Ohio State at Indiana

Friday 

Colorado State at Colorado 

Utah State at #9 Wisconsin 

#8 Washington at Rutgers

Saturday 

Maryland at #23 Texas

#11 Michigan vs #17 Florida 

BYU vs #13 LSU

#1 Alabama vs #3 Florida State

To some attendance records and attendance are more important than CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!

I do believe this the first time for Aggies to play in the Rose Bowl.

It is a great place to watch the cheerleaders and send the "12th Man".

I predict an Aggie win and a Longhorn shutout.

I wonder if there might be another circumstance at play here?  Has something gone on in the last week in a region where 1/3 of the school's alumni are based?  Even an aggy should be able to figure this one out.  In other news, these preseason rankings are something.  I would say they are based on nothing in fact.  Except that it is clear that in Texas, the powers that be reallly want one school to be "back," and realllly don't give a damn about the other one :D

(SP) The Texas State Legislature held an emergency session this morning to draft legislation that would ban the sport of tackle football beyond the high school level.


Texas governor Greg Abbott said he fully supports the legislation and will sign it when it crosses his desk.

"Texans are not ones to give up the fight," said the governor. "But we also know there's no shame in admitting defeat. Today we admit defeat. We will not let other teams run up the score on us, like college teams do so easily on our defenses."

 

Rep. Chris Turner, chair of the Democratic Caucus, said the bill is proof that government can still work for the people.

"When both sides come together, good things can happen," said Turner. "Anything is possible, except beating Maryland at football, of course. The Terps are just too good."
