Bittersweet here. We are closing the book on some amazing athletes. 3 SC football games, we win two. 1 SC baseball game and fell short. Tonight we played probably the SC in baseball this year and lost. Nothing to hang your heads down about guys! In your 4 years of playing HS ball, in all sports, you are the best class that had ever come out of our mighty school. It is very sad that you all have to graduate but please remeber one thing.......you have all ignited a small town in little ole SETX a positive way, one day you will realize what you have done for us former Mustangs and the city or Orange in general. With that said JD3, Cheese(even though your a junior) Rags, KJ, Mandel, Keion, the list goes on and on......you have brought the pride back to WOS nation and we will never forget. With that said, NEXT MAN UP!!!!!

Excellent post and very truthful. Some amazing seniors in this graduating class.

Good job Rockets but no rest; there's still work to do.  Congrats to WOS on a very nice season.

Good luck the rest of the way. Y'all have a good team. Starting pitcher pitched a great game. Had really good command of his curveball all night. Go win it!

Thanks for all of the kind words guys. The boys are fine. They had a great 4 year run and made memories that will last a lifetime. Jack struggled a little the first two innings and got into his pitch count. He pulled out of it but it was a little too late. Congrats to the Rockets. I hope they win it all.

Mustangs, thanks for a helluva ride. Class of 2017 will be talked about for a very long time.

Would still want to play 2 outta 3

Well, I don't question Coach Landry's decision. Hate to say it, but I believe their pitching was a lot deeper than ours. I would have done the same thing. Ace against ace.

JD just got a little in trouble with the pitch count and when our bats finally woke up, it was just a little too late.

    • It was no defence that hurt Rusk. Barrier’s stats were good.
    • He actually had a pretty solid year for a sophomore starting in that district. I can assure you, it hasn't hurt his recruiting at all and that will only improve with the move back to the Wack.
    • If Crumedy eventually has bigger aspirations than being in Jasper, every aspect of the program will be looked at when someone interviews him for any job. He knows that. The mindset needs to be that any time someone wears a Jasper uniform, that they're doing everything they possibly can to win. It matters.
    • This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up It's a poll but I could definitely see this as realistic.   From the article: Catholics in the United States have swung dramatically against President Biden in recent years, now boasting a significant statistical break towards his GOP challenger. Pew Research released on Apr. 30 a report exploring support for presidential candidates sorted by religious affiliation. The poll found that 55% of Catholics support or lean towards supporting former President Donald Trump in a head-to-head against Biden. Conversely, only 45% of Catholics support Biden in the same one-on-one pairing. The 12% margin of support in favor of Trump marks a significant shift from 2020, when he held an extremely narrow lead — 50% to 49%. Biden currently leads among Hispanic Catholics with a narrow 49%-47% split, but the close contest marks a major shift rightward for the demographic. In 2020, a similar poll from Pew Research found Hispanic Catholics preferred Biden to Trump with a staggering 67%-26% split.
    • You said a lot there. Truthfully, that is the root of the issue. Who cares what a kid thinks about how coaches are running a program? Kids play, coaches coach. For some reason, parents have this backward in a lot of places and its wreaking havoc.
