Looks like the only real issue is the district certification.

But Katy, with all of the talent and kids that it has, why would the coaches even put someone in that had been with the school for only 17 days?  You have kids that likely haven't touched the field that have busted their tails since the summer that deserve a chance to get in there.

Anyways, apparently the rules for regular season certification and playoff certification are nowhere near each other in the rule book??

Wow, over 100 kids got to touch the field for Katy in the game against Friendswood.  I guess I can rescind my remarks.  Seems pretty classy on the coach's part.

 UIL SEC rep James Colbert says he thinks a forfeiture would be the wrong move. He hopes the panel will agree with him.

On a related issue, Katy ISD AD Debbie Decker and Katy HS Football Coach Gary Joseph have begun to breathe again after holding their breath for nearly 24 hours!
