FWIW, Blanco will give up more than 42 yards...on Newtons first drive.

Newton didn't put 52 on Rogers, who was in Blanco's district the past 2 years.  Saw the film.  Blanco's defense is considerably better than Rogers.  If you had expert knowledge, you might know that.  We do because we faced them.

Newton needs to stay focused in this game. look at the past history for east texas vs west texas or central texas. We have not won many of the match ups, even with more talent. The attitude and program history is different. People dont accept failure on the west side of interstate 45. Newton should win they have the athletes. The difference is coaching at this point.Good Luck.

Wow.. that's cool. It is great to have those old timers around, especially what is likely to be some smashmouth football.  Blanco's head coach was the DC on our '00 finalist and '01 championship squads.  14 years later, he's still running the defense.

Newton will not score 52 points unless Newton returns 5 fumbles for TDs. Newton's run offense is run-oriented. And Blanco will do a good job containing the run. Just watch. I've seen 6 Blancos films, 7 Rogers films and 9 Franklins films. In my honest opinion, Franklin's defense is the best of all 3. Franklin, in my opinion, is also just a better team than both.

Turnovers can change a game. If Newton does what they have done all year, they should win the game.

I won't predict a score because +1 gets you to Dallas.

Yes, I know coach Thompson. He coached me years ago, Brilliant guy , best coach in the area, Hope head coach will rely on his experience. He can help in a pressure situation. Go Newton.

Newton will be hard to beat they have it on both side of the ball. Rogers running back got hurt early in the game would have been closer. We played Blanco the last two years they are a good football team. Newton will be to much.

Brody hurt his knee but he played the whole game. About 50%

No doubt #10 being slowed down was a disadvantage, because he carries the ball 80% of the time.   But Newton lost one of its top rushers to a knee injury on the first or second series.

No clue.  Injuries rarely get divulged at this time of year.  It was a nasty hit.
