Silsbee dominated the 2nd half, shutting down and shutting out Cleveland while scoring 24 unanswered points after trailing 13-6 at the half. Great effort by the Tiger offense and defense in 2nd half. Also great adjustments by coaching staff at halftime.

A win next week over Bridge City will clinch playoffs for Silsbee for the 7th straight season and 10 out of last 11 seasons.

It looks like we are more productive with the QB rotation but I am not sure if thats the reason. I think a big part of that is the quality of our opponent has dropped the last couple weeks. Our running game has definately improved with the dual threat of Brooks and Thomas. I have never been a big fan of having a qb rotation and in our case I think when we put Partain in the defense knows that we are planning to pass and even if we throw a run in there it's not going to be a planned run by the qb. I love Partain being able to throw the ball but I just believe for at least this year we need to have the dual threat from the qb. I would love to have seen the Tigers go with a two back set with Thomas and Brooks at Rb and Partain at qb. Push the running game and open up the field for Partain. I know it wasn't going to happen but I just wonder how it would have worked.
