Tyler Dixson
I was just wondering since I was only 9 years old how many games were missed during that season in setx?

Bulldog92
I was in Seattle at the time and I remember being glued to the KJAS stream in Jasper all night. They knew it was coming and that it wasn't gonna be pretty, but Rita was still strengthening Saturday morning as she went north through Jasper County and Jasper itself was hit quite hard considering how far it is from the coast. The Bulldogs had just come off a 3A title game appearance the year before and they ended up losing QB Gilbert Moye, who transferred to Diboll after the storm. All of the momentum the program had gained in 2004 came to a screeching halt. It's taken a while to get some of that back for a number of reasons, but the hurricane started it all. BMTSoulja1
THE hurricane caused an abbreviated season... A season where the MC schools avoided a major woodshed whipping by my Jags... ;) Mr. Buddy Garrity
Mr. Buddy Garrity
Worst season in Memorial history. SFA85
Cat22
I can remember playing district games during the week to try to catch up. I think we played on a Tuesday and Saturday one week. Mr. Buddy Garrity
robanadana
I think two games. I remember playing Monday night football...we were able to get lighting to Pirate Stadium. Lost to Central in a close one on Saturday that kept us out of the playoffs that year. We had a decent team...shame.
tigerheart
district 22-3a played saturday-thursday-tuesday-saturday-friday to get the district season in...or something close to that
PN-G bamatex
I believe District 20-4A had to cancel two games and play a shortened district schedule that resulted in a three-way tie for two playoff spots between PN-G, Nederland and someone else I can't remember. It came down to a coin flip and PN-G lost. Don't quote me on that, though.

PN-G bamatex
I can tell you this much. I'll never forget being in my front yard dragging cut up sections of timber to the curb when I heard something and turned just in time to notice the football players back on the field practicing as the band practiced the Marching I and drummed up Cherokee in the background. Second to finally getting power back, that was when things finally started to feel normal again.
