I'm not sure that I would call Refugio choking out last year, that East Bernard team was pretty darn good.

As far as Newton goes, I'm with ChampionEagles. The rankings are nice to see the respect, but we got to deliver. If anyone can though its the Newton Eagles! Let's get this party started!

If Deweyville wants more respect in regards to being ranked, then they need to play someone besides the 1-A teams that they now play. Not saying that Deweyville is not a good team but it is hard to measure a team that plays mostly weaker teams.

There is some logic to your statement but hey have an outstanding senior class. They will be under the radar for many people this year. I dont know how far they will go but they ill be 10-0 going in.

[/quote]10-0!! lmao! Deweyville had a loaded team last season, very talented and powerful. They may have missed their chance. D-ville lost 11 letterman to graduation, returning O/D:7/6. Big shoes to fill, lot of holes. I can't wait to hear from you when D-ville loses to 1A eventual 10-0 team Hull-Daisetta. HD is loaded just like the Pirates were last season.

Oh this is rich.  HD doesn't deserve to be in the 1A poll in your opinion, but DV deserves to be in the 2A poll.  haha.  As if we didn't already know, you don't have a clue.

The Only thing I am going to say right now is Deweyville will Destroy HD This year and you can take that to the BANK you talked trash last year before D-Ville played HD Than after we whipped yals A-- You had every excuse in the book why HD could not even stay on the field with the PIRATES Our JV players were in the game before half time ................

I have a clue because I have watched the current DV seniors come up through the last several years. They are a special group. HD does not have a group like this bunch at DV.

      To clarify, Dems love wars. They rage daily in the bluest of blue inner citicis. Chicago had 39 shootings over the weekend, 9 dead. Warzone.       Sure.  You reassign an employee and they leave voluntarily instead of being fired and being open to litigation.  The outcome is the same, but you are making my point.  The superintendent and AD and principal are all empowered to make personnel decisions.  Instead of accepting the decision made, you talk about lawyering up, no one else was reprimanded, railroad job.  I am old enough to remember when high school sports taught life lessons...accountability being chief among them.

      I know absolutely nothing about the situation, but I do know head coaches of sports other than the AD have actual teaching assignments, and I know from my wife having worked in the sped department of multiple schools that it’s not uncommon at all for coaches to shirk those duties.  It could very well be that this was the case at BC.  Or not, I don’t know.  Just bringing this up to point out the fact that, although many coaches only want to worry about coaching, they generally have several other responsibilities at the school.  some of them neglect or ignore these duties entirely.  If he’s been written up for other issues before, it’s a dumb argument to say “he was punished for this and others were not”.  If he had a pile of write ups in his file and they did not then it makes sense that the punishments were different.

      He wasn’t fired, he was reassigned and people get reassigned all the time. If he was actually fired, then you would have a point, but he wasn’t fired. Based on the information presented here no way this would stand if they fired him and he lawyered up.
