The new bats kill the ball way to much. When a guy crushes the ball like that it should be gone in any stadium.

NC State beat NC 8-1.  Carlos Rodon with a complete game.  Many scouts have him as top overall pick next year.

UCLA beats #4 LSU 2-1.  Aaron Nola suffers his 1st loss of the season giving up 2 unearned runs.


All of the National seeds are in the losers bracket.  LSU will play #1 North Carolina Tuesday night in an elimination game.  One of the favorites will be going home.

Hitting 95-96 on 100+ pitch and from the left side.

The Astros need to get it together and start losing again.  Hopefully the Marlins can win some games and leave the #1 pick to Houston again.  Appel and Rodon at the top of your staff would be good for many years.

Miss St beat Indiana to stay unbeaten.  Indiana missed tying the game by a foot on the hardest ball I've seen hit in the CWS.


North Carolina vs. LSU today at 2pm in an elimination game.  One of the best teams in the country will be going home today.

Coming into Omaha they were the most complete team IMO. NC is a heck of a team and have been in or near the top 5 all year. This is going to be a tough hill for LSU to climb.

LSU is 2 & out.  They scored 3 runs in their 2 CWS games. Tough to win like that.

That said the NCAA needs to do something go get the offense more involved.  Those bats are terrible.

I'll take terrible and a  National Championship any day,
Good pitching always beats good hitting.

UCLA finishes 3rd in the PAC 12. Then proceeds to go 10-0 in the NCAA post season. Not too shabby.

I am biased towards pitching, so I think it's great baseball.
