I went to French High School where I was a starter on the 84' 5A State Championship Beaumont French Buffalo football team..... One of the highlights of my life.... I think thats why I'm so passionate about my kids getting to play for a, at least, strong program... I want them to experience what I experienced.

Yep, you nailed me again Hftparty - we had CHILDREN just like most people.  However, I believe your championship football experience for the '84-85 season was actually a co-championship with Odessa Permian - the final score being 21 - 21.  At least that's the official UIL position on the game.  By the way, your great Coach, Steve Shaver (God rest his soul) was a freshman at my high school when I was a senior.  I doubt that he would approve of your contentious attitude.  He was a competitor - not a complainer. 8)

Now I'm a complainer??? You wouldnt know anything about coach Shaver.... He sure would not get on a site like this and talk down any kids... EVER!!!! Thats the only thing I've ever even came close to complaining about... I'll also tell you what he and his family thought of me, I was asked (and accepted) to be a Pall-Bearer at his funeral..... Out of all the thousands of kids he coached, I was one of the 8 they picked... Now, getcha some-a-dat!!!

selection, position selection, play selection, his general being

did know Coach Shaver and was very proud of him and his accomplishments.  I knew him as a kid growing up in a
community of 2800 people.  I knew him as a high school
player at Eagle Lake and Bellaire.  I knew him as a significant
player for those Bearcats.  And I knew him in his pro career
and in his coaching career.  It is indeed a jewel in your crown
that you were chosen to be a pall bearer for Steve's 
services.  But, as usual, you are too egotistical and

Takes one to know one, big guy.  Your old  coach obviously liked you and you should be proud of that, but I just dont think I would be pointing to that and saying scoreboard the way you did.  By the way, those were your words, not mine.  Just like they were your words talking about Martel and how he didn't listen to you or run his program the way you think he should have.  Not to mention the numerous times you have piled on since he left.  Finally, if I turned it around 360 degrees it would be exactly what you posted and meant.
