No matter the QB under center for Celina they lose. WOS d line dominated the game, the QB would've had no effect on that. That first drive was just because WOS was adjusting to them.

Yes, I love watching a hard hitting, and aggressive defenses take over a game. I was there for the last 5 games and the more physical team won all of them. WOS played agresive and hungry, capitalising when they saw the doubt in Celona. North Shore beat up on Westlake from the opening kick off. I have to add Ehlinger is a tough young man, taking hit after hit and kept looking for more. But it takes a toll on you after 3 quarters and the Mustangs owned the 4th and ot. Katy does what Katy does, hit you in the mouth every play. LT looked ready to throw the towel in by the 2nd qtr.
Football is still a physical game. So, playing fundamentally sound and physical game will allow you to win a lot of games.

Congrats WOS!!! You boys deserved this!!!! It was great seeing all the local 409 towns there. I saw Lumberton of course lol, LCM, BC, OF, PNG, Kirbyville
Vidor was there too.
Big congrats WOS! I love watching an agresive, hard hitting and hungry defense eat up an offense.

I agree with you! Vidor did fumble the ball a lot tonight but Indians O- Line was just to much for the Pirates defense to handle in the second half. We are very big and physical up front. The coaches do a great job with the boys. I'm also a big fan of coach Mathews. My nephews graduated from Vidor. Good luck to The Vidor Pirates football program!
6 lost fumbles. I agree yalls line was good but if we don't turn the ball over, they are on the sideline. Anyway, that's the way it went.

The fumble bug got us tonight. Congrats PNG and Ned. My son can't wait for Monday to start working for next year, bigger,faster and stronger.

Lumberton beat us because our QB went down on the second play of the game. We had no backup QB. Our starting QB at the time was on JV now he's on Varsity! It should be a good game tomorrow! I was told that the game is being moved to PNG not Vidor! We also took care of Jaguars, they also beat Lumberton!
K, I didn't know that Lumberton lost to Central. Yeah, it was moved to PNG. Looking forward to a good game.

I can only tell you about the freshmen level. There are 3 teams with a 5-1 record. Nederland, PNGAnd Vidor. Nederland will play Lumberton. Nederland 5-1 vs Lumberton 4-2. We will play Vidor who is 5-1 . The winner will be co district or district champs with Nederland or PNG or Vidor! Good luck to everyone!
Who was Lumberton's other loss, besides Vidor. I thought they beat PNG?

Please list Jeff's Division One signees. Over 17 years. Good guys don't always make great coaches.
A coach doesn't make division 1 athletes. He makes what he has better. If you haven't seen these young men get better than you and I aren't watching the same things.

You don't get to recruit players in high school. At least not in these parts. Sometimes you have to have to play the hand you're dealt. The dummies that want the Vidor head coach gone are the same type of dummies who wanted Lumbertons Coach Credeur gone a few years ago after going undefeated and deeper into the playoffs than they ever had. I'll just say this. STUPID!!!

If I can answer this question for you without ruffling your feathers...In the middle school league for Beaumont and Port Arthur, nobody runs that style of offense. My son and his freshman teammates had never seen that style of offense Thursday night when they played Vidor, so they got spanked 36-0. JV (sophomores and Juniors) had played against it, so they were a little more successful winning 20-14. And we all know how the Varsity went...
I would agree to a point but the defense for the freshman is really what won that game. I think central only had 3 maybe 4 first downs.

Anyway, I may have missed the "incredible play" call that you all are referring to. I was sitting on the 50. From what I saw Boudreaux attempted to hand off to Whaley but the ball fell to the ground. Boudreaux picked it up in the end zone and rolled out to find an open #18. Educate me to the penalty because I don't think he passed the line of scrimmage. I may be wrong though...
The Vidor/Lumberton game will be a big one for both teams...#5 is a gamer.
Whaley had the ball, it wasn't a fumbled handoff. It was a solid lick that knocked the ball into the endzone at least a yard past the line of scrimmage. I was right the line of scrimmage due to having to make a consession stand run.

I saw the rb cross the line of scrimmage fumble into the end zone the QB and then threw a pass. That's an illegal forward pass, should've been a safety.

I don't put much stock into freshman games. In Beaumont you have kids merging from various schools, some learning new positions, learning a new offense and new terminology. Now JV on the other hand, that's a whole different thing. Jaguar Freshman 3-2 (losses to Nederland and Vidor). JV 5-0.
I think differently. The best athletes never play on jv. Also from my experience the jv practices worth the varsity and the varsity gets the majority of the practice emphasis.
