The rule now is that a peel back (blind side) has to be between the chest and waist. So, it should have been a penalty but I don't think he should have been thrown out.

I would vote Vidor's offensive line, paving the way for 702 yds rushing and 11 tds. With 5 rushers gaining over 100 yds. I know it's not typically what this thread is about but that wasn't a typical performance either.

After seeing what Channelview did to Dayton, I'm going to fast and pray three days before making any prediction. Plus make sure Rob uses his Rev Psychology and picks Channelview.
In all honesty, it's to bad Crosby and Channelview aren't playing. That would be interesting.
Last year Channelview beat Dayton bad(69-35) also and it was a tight game when Vidor played them. I think it will be another close game.

1. Congratulations to Bay High...good football game and probably the biggest team we'll face all year. Safe trip home to you and your fans.
2. Vidor coaching staff, WTH!!! When did we become a passing football team in the red zone? Driving the football, 5 - 7 yards a pop, Bay is on their heels in a 13 - 7 football game. 2:30 left in the game on their 25 yard line in the fourth quarter, 1st down, why do we call a pass? Sacked for an 8 yard loss. Next play, nearly sacked and then throw it out to Haylen who nearly gets killed on a suicide ball, fumble and they run 90 yards to the end zone for a score. Again, WTH? WE could have walked that ball to the end zone and won that football game. Forget the pass we dropped in the 3rd on the goal line on third down (there's that pass thing again). They couldn't stop us running outside.Our kids gave a tremendous effort and the coaches blew it against a really good football team, as good as we'll face all year, a game we could and should have won. We're not Lumberton, so quit calling plays like it!!! I nearly threw my stadium chair out of the stands. It should have been and epic victory instead of a crash and burn defeat. Here's a hint, if they can't stop you from doing something, you keep doing it!
Was the pass a questionable call, yes but in the non district games is the time to work on that. It provides 2 things something for the teams in district, when win and loses matter, to think about and allows us to work on those plays. It will also be a learning experience for the new QB, when he should have thrown it away on 1st down instead of taking the sack. The turnovers and the personal fouls are things that have to be fixed.

Desoto's quarterback complained to the officals about Allen's band being too loud so they talk to Allen's band... So what do thousands of Allen fans do... Get as loud as possible lolThe officials can actually penalize the team of the band playing, if the band starts playing as the other teams offense gets to the line of scrimmage. First they get warned then it's a 15 yd penalty. I saw it called one time this year on tv, it was Westlake vs someone.

Last year I was lucky enough to be an assistant coach to a special group of young men that had an amazing season that cumulated in winning the super bowl. The president of our league presented the trophy to the team. To us that was perfect, he had been there with us and supported us all the way. Could the president of the STJFL been there,possibly but at that point, who looks for who isn't there. All that matters is who is there the team, coaches and the families that have put in the time to get to that point.

A block below the waist is legal as long as you are lined up head up or inside the player being blocked. So a crack back block (a block by a player split out can not come in and block a player below the waist. Also the block below the waist must be towards the goal you are going towards. Of course a chop block is illegal: which is a defender is being blocked by one player and another one blocks below the waist on the same player.

I wanna know why some pick Vidor to win and they lost by 2 scores to Ozen and had to struggle to beat a horrible GCM team and struggled to beat Lee....
My thoughts are that, this is a young Vidor team that is improving every week. They have not played their best game just yet. Am I predicting a win, not necessarily but can they win, yes.
