These are wrong, Jake's 275 is correct, along with the 23 yards passing, just about every publication I saw showed Vidor right at 300 yards of total offense.

I believe it's probably somewhere in between. But Vidor did have 2 long td drives of about 80 each, 1 that started inside the 10 (with the 60 yd td). So just to be generous let's say 70x2=140 +90= 230. Then we had the long drive that resulted in the fumble about the 15 in our first drive of the 2nd half easily 50yds. Those and only 2- 3 and outs, seems that it would be more than 275.

First game this year against Livingston the referee stopped the game and had our band quit playing they had had a delay of game and complained.

Yeah, they penalize the team. The band is not supposed to play while the other team had the ball and is at the line of scrimmage. I haven't seen it around here, but I've seen it around Austin and in the valley. I think they usually warm them, then next time is 5yrd delay of game penalty and if it happened again is unsportsmanlike conduct 15yrds.

You too blind I guess to see your dbs grabbing on for dear life on every pass play. Cant wait to go to the bone yard next year.  You caught a mamed lion and braggin, congrats tropy hunter

I saw some holding by our dbs at the end of some pass plays, but you can't see those and not the holding by the o- line allowing the holds on the pass plays.

Vidor barely held on to beat Nederland.  Nederland outplayed them in the second half with a QB that hadn't seen the field since week 1.    They won't have that luxury with PNG or PAM.   They'll have to score on virtually every possession.  Just the way I see it.

    1. PAM/PNG

    3. VIDOR

    4. NED

I thought the QB played the first half against Dayton. So that would be week 2.

What was the deal with Vidor's H.S. principal being on the field? Sources say he was in an altercation with the officials? I saw the popo in the endzone talking it up with some folks at halftime.

It was not the principal, I believe it was one of the campus police(maybe,he was in uniform) . It looked like he said something after the first Ned td that the official did not like

Fantastic!  As an old, old Pirate, I'm glad to hear that.  Think the JV doing good also.  Sounds like the future of Pirate football is in good hands.  Enjoy it - it goes by so fast.  Even faster for G'kids, I think.

JV is 5-0 also in Vidor

You can call me a shiner and say what you want! Can our guys handle it? Yes they can! Did they still do their job? Yes they did! Can any of you give me a logical explanation on how citing downfield is legal? I'm still waiting! When your only response is quit whining or go complain to your coach then your thinking pattern is not relating to the question on the table! I could give 2 craps about that scrimmage or the opponent! It was still a great scrimmage and both teams got better but I know that arguing with you on here is pointless! Some of you live to argue on here so have at it! It's funny how The bmt guy says all you say but yet the kids from Central and Westbrook were saying the same thing cause they were in our area! I guess their WHINERS too! Hahahaha have a nice day, we got Nederland next

That's the way the rules are, as long as you are not lined up outside the defensive player (which at Vidor it is rare to have someone split wide). You also cannot  block below the waist back towards you own goal line or if a defensive player is engaged with another player you cannot block them below the waist. Also, on a change of possession (int, fumble, or kicks) blocks below the waist are not legal.
