Biblical Isreal and biblical Isreal are not the same. Some people don't consider the people living in the State of Isreal God's chosen people; instead, they think they are bullies that are massacring Palestinians. According to this article Ancient Israel refers to the Twelve Tribes of Israel who lived in the Ancient Near East from the Iron Age to the Roman time period of classical history. Most of the history of Ancient Israel is illustrated in the Old Testament of the Bible and/or the Jewish Torah. Jacob, a descendant of Abraham, was also known as Israel , giving his name to the land promised to his family by God, according to the Bible. Ancient Israel was located between the Mediterranean and the Fertile Crescent which is considered today to be part of the Middle East

This is the hidden content, please

The Bible prophesied the destruction and restoration of Israel and the gathering back of God’s people. I don’t know about the purity of the twelve tribes, but God’s word is true regardless of how man interprets it. God says he will bless those the support Israel. Many consider Israel bullies because they don’t agree with the magnitude of their defense towards their attackers. The Old Testament is full of God’s support of the annihilation of their enemies.

  2. This is the dirties race I can recall. Every other commercial is one of their negative adds. In the Orange area, I get 2 - 4 or more flyers a day in the mail. I lot of money being spent. Evidently a lot at risk. It’s shameful.

Yeah, you know how many times that bond went to vote and got rejected? They had to adjust it and take things out and lower the original bond. They were trying to get a few more new schools built but it got shot down so they just patched them up to make it look like they were making an effort to update them. NISD is not an easy district to get a bond passed so the kids suffer.

That can say more about the community than the board. Nederland doesn’t have the tax resources of other districts.

They are saying they are using these three is nothing but a smoke screen. They have probably offered all three the job but they are all smart enough not to take the offer. First off they all would take a major pay cut but most important is they would have to put up with an incompetent administration who doesn’t do anything to help improve the athletic program when asked. They leave it to a bond issue where it has a slim chance it is going to pass……..What coach with any kind of clout, HC, OC, DC or other, would want to put up with that and be at the lower end of the pay scale?

Didn’t they pass a bond that included some athletic improvements?

I wish your son the best of luck in his new spread offense, but passing on Jenkins, who did what he did in Harmony in year 1, will be a legendary mistake in the coming years. Orangefield had a chance, but let the Little League Coaches of America get in the way of making a decision that could've advanced the program long term. They will reap what they've sown.

IF they would have chosen Jenkins and IF he would have accepted and IF he would have had the same type success, how long do you think he would have stayed after leaving Harmony within two years? Don't know about the long term statement.

The same applies for many schools in this area. Not just Orangefield...

To say nothing can change is shallow. Any school can change with good leadership which can improve student interest. Any school can have an unexpected or expected run of talent. May generate a state run but can improve enthusiasm.
