Ok.
So HJ would've beaten Jasper...with this year's team...with Dubois at the helm? Kelly I would agree with you. coaching can overcome 1 point..even 1 possession. But Jasper? Wow.. some people just don't understand I guess.

Vpirate02, did you ever confirm what you heard that caused you to shift your score prediction by 30 pts? Originally, you predicted Lumberton would win by 20. Then you heard some earth shattering news that caused you to then predict HF would win by 10. I'm curious how that news panned out. You've kept us on the edge of our seats for 3 weeks now. Don't you think that is long enough?

Well, if you were paying to the Lumberton side, you must have been pretty happy with what you saw, although you should have seen the alignment at least for a little while as Lumberton linemen were getting into the HJ backfield pretty quickly after the snap.
I also was distressed to see the young man from HJ with the injury. First, you hate to see any young man enter his season. But when the EMTs were dispatched there, it rose the level to alarm and you went from hoping he would play again to hoping he is physically okay.
As to the fighting, I think the dust up over the dust up yesterday is much ado about nothing. As you can attest, it really wasn't the bench clearer that some have made it out to be. If the level of the dust up in Silsbee was no worse...and for all of the comments in that thread, I am not even sure any fighting was mentioned...I'd think that there is another attempted mole hill raising.

Correction... Lumberton players do wrong just like the opposing players. I've been impressed with how the Lumberton coaches have addressed each situation as it happens. That's all you can ask for as an athletic supporter is for coaches to hold these kids accountable for their actions so they can learn. After all, athletics is supposed to help mold them into respectable young men and women who can contribute something positive to society.

No doubt. As much as Coach DuBois wanted to return home to Bridge City, I doubt he would have left H-J (where he was HC/AD) absent an assurance that he would be named AD in short order.

Because of the results of one scrimmage? I'll stick with what I said. BC doesn't have a passing QB and burners on the outside like Silsbee. And we'll have time to address holes that could only be discovered by facing a live opponent. I heard the Raiders actually did something they haven't done in the last 2 seasons. Watch Film and try to learn from mistakes! What a great idea!

He tore his ACL and missed all last season and has been in rehab all year to get back to planning. He tore his other ACL during practice.
'' meet the players'' last night- good looking group of kids, varsity and JV. some good size kids on varsity and JV. New band director and several good assistant coaches added.
I was told that W.T. was in Houston taking treatments and having some minor problems that they think will get better and his immune system gets better. When your immune system is low it takes longer to heal from the problems you get. Keep W.T. in your prayers.
It's great to have Bryan with us, he brings a lot to this program.
