Isn't it called state semifinals? That is the football Final 4 right? State championship game is another story. 

Just last season Vidor put up 51 points on Silsbee.  What has happened is they probably lost some valuable senior leadership, and thus the team is down.  It happens all the time.

I remember my uncle Herman took me and grand paw to that game. It was at a known stadium somewhere in Beaumont.  That is one of my earliest memories of high school football in the 409.

Sports is the toy department. These issues are part of the real deal. Prayers for the Jones family.

YOU and all the maga minions on this board and elsewhere complained, complained, complained about the deficit under President Obama.  Under Trump you don't say anything, you don't see anything, but what you want to see.   You are the one with little character.

Dallas High School Sports = Cheating 

When Dallas Madison had to forfeit a championship in 2013 that was around the time the Dallas Madison player was charged with murdering another player in a fight over a game controller.  Mobley was coaching Madison then.  I am sure the fight/death and the forfeiture were all tied in together.

Happy retirement Mike.  Man, not may people get to make a career out of something they love, like sports.  You blazed a trail.  You have kept me informed.  I love Silsbee Tiger basketball.  I like football too but not nearly as much as basketball.  Has it been 17 years?  I guess so.  I've been around for most of them.  Before this board getting information on Silsbee sports was hard to do.  The local Houston teams just don't excite me.  Then the frustration ended.  
I would tweet on twitter. WOS would sometimes comment back.  I didn't even know somebody was paying me attention.   SE Texas fans have been blessed especially tiger basketball fans.  You did a great job.

That is the Orange County newspaper version of all district.  Soon the Beaumont enterprise will put out a different version of the same.

Some folks have known but I will make it public. My time as a full time administrator/broadcaster is up. I told my wife of 33 years that when she retired from teaching that I would retire with her to the beach. She retired last May and I told her I would finish out the football and basketball seasons of this year then I would join her. (would have joined her in May but needed to stay on after the passing of our beloved admin WOSGrad). I am so ready to be a beach bum.
I have enjoyed these past 17 years here on the site. I have seen it grow from just a little message board to now be considered a valuable media outlet. It truly has been a labor of love.
First of all, I want to thank Jordan Wilson, the owner of this site, by inviting me on as a staff member and eventually an administrator. He trusted me with the help of running this site and allowed me to "do my thang" and start my broadcast career. It has truly been a blessing. Thanks
I want to thank Todd Broussard (WOSGrad) who is looking down on us from heaven. He has been my partner in crime for all these years and is the reason this site is what it is today. He was the man!! I dearly miss my old friend and I hope that he is up there saying "job well done my friend". Thanks Todd for everything you did for me and this site.

FF did their homework.  They knew if you leave Harper, or Jackson, Bottey alone late in the game they might hit a critical 3.  So they never gave them a chance to do that.  Good game.  It was better than I thought it would be.  The Miller legend continues, and is growing.  Harris too.

For 20 years I worked at a DPS driver license office.  High School students from all around would come in to get their IDs or DL permits.  Many of the high school coaches are required to have a class B cdL passenger endorsement so they can drive the school buses.  Coach Vincent Grayson the Washington basketball coach used to come in to keep his  CDL going.  When I told him I was from Silsbee we hit it off.  We been talking reg III class 4A basketball off and on for 6 or 7 years.
