  1. I do not want yellow flags dictating the game. Now, if there's really a penalty, call it. But, don't call a stupid holding penalty on the other side of the field that has no effect on the outcome of the game. ICE, you have to realize though, HJ linebackers are better than OF linebackers. It'll be harder to nickel and dime them than it was OF. As for the run game. HJ's pretty good against the run. They just have to do it for 4 quarters!

HJ fans keep trying to convince us that you're better than Orangefield and HF on offense and defense. That's cool. However, numbers don't lie. OF played you very close and HF put 39 points up against your defense. You cannot expect to give up that many points against us and win. We've gotten better every week. Jack is learning how to adjust to certain defenses. You just might be better than OF and HF. So are we. Good luck Friday.
  2. Guys. I saw one half of play. It was the first time I had seen WO-S play all year aside from some film. It didn't look like they did much but throw the long ball. Forgive me if I don't know the entire West Orange line-up and playbook by heart. I'm not "making excuses." I just said that what it SEEMED like. I know that you can't man up on those receivers and expect to be successful. I'm just hoping the pass rush for HJ is better and allows them to get to Dallas quicker. Was it just me or did anyone else notice that HF abandoned what was working best for them? Yes, I know, the WO-S secondary is very good, but, it seemed the only thing that moved the ball down the field was the pass, and then they kept trying to force the run and got NO WHERE!!! The fans were calling for the coaches head when I left at halftime.

Let me ask you a question. If the long ball was working for you, would you stop throwing it just to show someone you can do something else? We do rely on the long ball. Our receivers are just as good on hitch routes. Did you see our receiver take a hitch for 75 yards? I know the HJ coaching staff knows we don't rely on the deep ball.
  3. And OF sees it everyday in practice!
We will see just how different HJ is versus OF and if we can cause some confusion to WOS. Excited for Friday night!
Get there early unless you want standing room only! :)

It's always standing room only on the visitors side. LOL! Actually, we could say the same thing about what you will face when we've got the ball. Do you really believe that your dbs can stay with our receivers? Again, good luck to HJ.
  4. Where in my post did I write anything about Giblin torching DT????
I just said ask DT if he was a tuff cover because DT is the best in coverage the area has. DT will tell you "Yes".
And go watch the film and you will see that DT was covering Giblin on several catches he had in first half it wasn't all #28.

I never posted that you said Giblin torched DT. You need to correct your friend. And at NO time did Giblin catch a pass on DT. However, he's a great receiver and will be a force to be reckoned with.
  5. Noopy, what did you have for breakfast??? I have some game film i will gladly watch with you on this subject... DT was torched by Giblin for well over 100 yards... Just because hes a D1 kid doesnt mean hes always money.... Now to his credit he picked off the OT pass to win the game.... Why research it when the game film doesnt lie...... SO.... Your wait is over.... And I know hes a great player.....

Ummm.....DT is #6. Not #28. Go look at the film again. And this time don't edit it. ;-).
  6. I would put Jack Giblin up there. Before the injury he was a tuff tuff cover. Ask DT at WOS.

Ask DT? Dude, are you serious??? DT shut down every one of your receivers one on one. How many receiving yards did you have on him when he moved to corner in the second half? Research it. I'll wait.
  7. He got knocked out of game for about 8 mins then he was back in game .. Idk what everyone else was saying but he got hit on the 99yrd run by newton, it was after score and penalty was called.

He got hit in the knee from behind by a cheap classless shot. 30 yards away from the play. You have no clue what you're talking about. He didnt go back in at reciever until late fourth quarter. If anyone saw the game they would know it was deliberate. I've tried to be quiet about it, but if you really don't know what happened, you need to stop commenting on it.
  8. It's a little late for that pledge, Brother VNUPE. Because saying things like "I'm sure by now you both should know who Tony Brown is, which now makes it a stupid question." and "It's just sad to see that some people can't handle anything positive" are in no way construed as insulting or attacking. Now you just seem hypocritical.

Tell you what, why don't we both act like adults and move on. This thread is not about you, nor is it about me. It was supposed to be positive and this is taking the attention off the title.
  9. Nor do I care who you are.

Let me give you a life lesson, my simple friend.

"is that the same kid that got arrested this year?"

You could have said "yes, but he's really turned things around for himself. Isn't it great?" To which many, many people would have said "way to go, TB!"

Instead, you chose to attack the person who merely asked a question with "why focus on the negative? What's more relevant?" Which only makes you look petty.

    Roll Tide.

You care enough about me to go out of your way to post on this thread. But instead of attacking you and your character, I'll pray for you, because I'm just that simple.
  10. It was Tony that was in the situation in Alabama, was there and like so many of us made a bad decision... I have no idea what the outcome was... I was very disappointed to hear of the incident.. but that was the only bad thing i have ever heard of him doing... so i guess in your perfect world of never making a bad decision you would want every bad decision you ever made brought up every time someone said something good about you.... I guess its a wash... you made your point I shouldn't of said the good things i said about him due to the one incident that happened .... and for your reading pleasure here are a few articles to read up on regarding the incident...

    Thank you! +1000

  11. O

Or, how some people can't handle anything negative.

I couldn't remember the kid's name from however many months ago. I just remembered that some kid went out a semester early and mixed it up with The Man right off the bat. Wasn't sure if this was the same kid or not.

Sorry I was hating on your man-crush.

He's not my man crush, sir. Obviously you have no clue who I am. The negative you're referring to happened in February. The positive I'm talking about happened Saturday. Which is more relevant? I won't waste my time or energy on negative people. I've already given you too much attention.
  12. It wasn't a stupid question... I was curious if it was the same kid that threw down with the cops about 15 minutes after rolling onto campus, too. Either way, it was a good game, and I'm glad it seems like he's managed to get it together after a rocky start in Tuscaloosa.

I never said it was a stupid question. It's just negative. I'm sure by now you both should know who Tony Brown is, which now makes it a stupid question. That happened in February. We're in September. They've moved on. It's just sad to see that some people can't handle anything positive.
  13. I had the distinct privilege of attending the Florida/Alabama game in person. And I must say, Tony Brown is a flat out baller! I know many people in SETX called him a camp kid, but after what I saw Saturday, you can put that to rest. Tony was asked to cover Florida's best receiver. He had 15 catches for 215 yards the game before. Saturday, Tony held him to 2 catches for 14 yards. That kid is absolutely fearless! I watched him on every defensive play and he was in that guy's face ALL day. There was a guy sitting next to me who said before the first snap, "They're going to have to pull him out later. He's not ready." Of course, being a PROUD Southeast Texan, I told him to watch and see. Tony proved him wrong, just like he proved a lot of his critics wrong. I just wanted to give him the props he's due. He's on his way to a bright future!
