  1. They contained him for the most part. More than I thought they would. If they keep that up and get a few more stops on that RB, it's a better game.

Kicker meant the passing game. In order for you to stop the running game, you'll have to bring another guy in the box. That leaves one safety, based on the way your defense was aligned. If you do that, we will wear your corners out. And trust me. The score will be worse.
  2. No if's or maybe's, and I do not think it would have changed the outcome, possibly the spread I don't know. The conversation (or argument) is, was it a bad call or not. You seem to be fascinated, maybe even obsessed that it was a good call for some reason. Good luck to WOS, I think it would be great 'if or maybe" we meet again in the playoffs, a great statement for the quality of athletes and students from this area. (And btw I still love my cardinals, they WILL be back!!!!)

DUDE! IT'S MONDAY MORNING! GO TO WORK!
  3. There is an easy fix, don't click the link and you won't see any of it

Oh, it doesn't bother me one way or the other. Obviously you're fascinated, maybe even obsessed with what ifs and maybes. I must admit, it's getting quite interesting to see what kind of spin you guys will continue to put on this ONE call. Who knows? This thread may last for the rest of the year. I would at least like to see that. Can I stay, sir?
  4. Since we're STILL talking about it, if one bad call is going to effect the momentum of your team for the ENTIRE rest of the game, you don't have a good team. Case and point, the officiating was just as bad in the PNG vs. WOS game. We were down 27-13 at half. You already know what the outcome was. Good teams find a way to recover. I would like to believe that the only people holding on to this call are the fans. Because if it's the coaches and players, you won't fare too well in the playoffs.
  5. I'm terribly guilty of that. apologies in advance. I think it mostly stems from my frustration of posters who make one sentence statements with nothing to back it up. If i'm going to come on here and say that the score should've been closer, i'm going to tell you why i think so. I'm not just going to say "it could've easily been a 7-point game last night". I'm going to tell you why. If you disagree, no worries, but at least you'll know why i feel that way :)

Fair enough my friend. Be Blessed!
  6. Well, I had created this earlier in the week. I thought about holding it last night, but in light of some comments, I feel compelled to post this:

    WOSgrad’s House O’ Crow

Located conveniently just outside the Home Stands at Hawk Stadium in Sour Lake for Instant Consumption

Entrés (All served with Beer to Cry in and Humble Pie)
    • Chicken Fried Crow – Eat those words Southern Style!…Priceless
    • Blackened Crow – Color of crow to match your mood!…Priceless
    • Crow Etouffee – Crow served from waaay back in Louisiana!...Priceless
    • Barbequed Crow – Crow served with Texas flair!...Priceless
    • Peking crow – Crow with a recipe from across the ocean!...Priceless
    • Stewed crow – A favorite of Midwesterners who have to down this bird!...Priceless
    • Crow cacciatore – Slow cooked to go down smooth!...Priceless
    • Crow lasagna – Just like Mama Ceasar used to serve!...Priceless
    • Chow Chili – For the cold feeling you will be left with after the game!...Priceless
So come on over to the House O’Crow for a quick bite. It beats whining about last night's game.

    I LOVE IT!
  7. If what you say is true then it seems like you may need to focus on some discipline and your wins may be bigger. I have only seen WOS play a couple of times in the past few years I have not thought that they played what some would call dirty, but if you are averaging 4 or 5 unsportsmanlike penalties each game you may want to evaluate some attitudes

Trust me, discipline is the last thing we need to worry about. IMO, I believe we're held to a higher standard than most teams as it relates to penalties. So I guess you believe that ALL those calls against us were justified. Okay. I'll let you have that. But did you see that effect the way we played?
  8. HJ had two plays account for about 125 yards. WOS had two plays that accounted for over 100. Still not seeing where this total domination comes in. WOS was better, which I've said several times, but I don't remember all of these drive killing penalties. Maybe one or two, but that's all. Thinking back, i can remember just about every flag, and almost all of them had no real effect on wos. either wos came back to pick up the 1st, or hj failed to do anything after getting a 1st down off a penalty. I'm just having a hard time with the whole attitude of "WOS was clearly 21 points better" from several WOS posters when A) 7 points were given to y'all (which stretched the win to 21), B ) y'all barely out gained HJ, even when continuing to run up yards when a kneel down would've ended it and C) there's absolutely no way to factor in how the game would've played out if the hawks hadnt been put way behind the 8ball at the end of the 1st half, taking them out of their game plan and offense.

You're still talking about one play. IF the officiating WOULD'VE been better, you WOULD'VE been beaten worse. Let's be real. 13 penalties to your 4? They were momentum killers for us too. WOS has been taught to not allow the penalty differences effect them to a point to where it effects their play on the field. For the majority of our games, we've ALWAYS been the most penalized team. That's nothing new to us. We've ALWAYS overcome that, just like we did last night. That's a credit to our coaching staff.
  9. I thought you weren't going to post again until tomorrow.

Every penalty against WO-S looked legit to you? All 13 of them? Sounds like the refs did a GOOD job when it came to yellow hankies only against WO-S.

Do you think that the mere 4 called against HJ was the total number of offenses they committed all night? Were they ever called for holding? With our fast aggressive front seven, we get held every game against every opponent and it hardly ever gets called. Not one holding call tonight, and it WAS happening. No personal fouls against HJ for the cheap shots? Are you upset about that?

I've tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but you have convinced yourself that this really was a close game and HJ had a shot to win if not for that phantom punt return call. What you fail to realize is that all of the flag happy calls made against WO-S (and no, they were not all good calls) were DRIVE KILLERS for WO-S that kept us from scoring more points...and we still won by THREE TDs.

Stop posting, please. You've become delusional. WO-S was the better team and they won this game convincingly.

    PREACH!
  10. HJ is better than HF and OF. There is no "might be." The scores have proven that. I read all this talk about how there was no way HF would put up 21 on WO-S. I simply replied, "don't be surprised when they do." Sure enough, look what happened. Just like with you guys, the OF game was close in the first half. Both teams in both games were tied 14-14 with them. Both HJ and WO-S broke it open in the second half. Yes, OF had that nice comeback against HJ, but it happened off of a batted ball followed by a lucky catch. If that pass isn't caught, OF doesn't get within a TD of HJ. HJ doesn't turn the ball over very often. We will see what happens and good luck Friday.

You may want to check the box scores of the OF game. It was 28-14 at half. But I get it. You guys have a great chance to make history. You should brag about your program. My point is simply that you can't judge us based on how much better you are than OF and HF.
