I remember the piece of the Hot Wheels race track.  Not very fun.  My mom was about to give me a spanking once with a yard stick.  I decided to challenge her by taking the yard stick away from her and breaking it over my knee.  BAD MOVE!!! Then, for some reason I handed both of the broken ends back to her.  ANOTHER BAD MOVE!!!  As you can probably imagine, mom went to work on my little behind with both ends of the yard stick.  One of those childhood memories that I will never forget!!!  Never challenged my mother again!!!

My Dad used a belt and would hit me high enough so as not to show below my gym shorts. My Mom liked a switch. You better not come back with a puny one either. Both of these offenses would land both of my parents in jail today. I loved my parents to death and hold no grudges for being disciplined. We have become a country of wusses.

I told my kids early on that if I ever disciplined them and they called the cops on me and I went to jail, then they better run because one of us is going to the hospital and the other is going back to jail. I can actually count on one hand the number of times I spanked my kids. I guess i was lucky. When they were old enough and I made them have a conscience. I was able to reason with them. I would make them apologize to their Mom and never sent them to their room or to timeout.

Me too. The worst was a section of Hot Wheels race car track. Or a balloon stick. The belt was the usual method of choice...well, not my choice.
 
Most of our principals, teachers and coaches in school would give us the option (if the offense wasn't too bad) of taking the paddling at school from them or a call to our parents. We all took the paddling at school 100% of the time. My dad's belt was way worse than that big ol' wooden paddle (although the paddle did have a biting sting to it). Cursing at a teacher would probably have gotten you both, a paddling at school and a phone call, which would lead to major whooping when you got home. Waiting for my dad to get home from work was agonizing.
 
The freshman woodshop class would make the paddles for the teachers. It was not mandatory, but everybody thought it was due to the woodshop teacher kinda implying that it was. The seniors would make their own paddles for freshman initiation.

I also prefer Uncle Chris' Steak seasoning.  I cooked a couple of ribeye's and a 2 pound sirloin last night.  

Truck: Chevy (1940 if possible)

SUV: Jeep (only because Chevy wasn't an option)

Car: Chevy (1967 Corvette if possible)

He is a prime example if a racist and a hater.....

Frankly, I don't have a problem with open carry demostrations...at all. In fact, I kinda like them. I like the idea that every would-be criminal knows that in Texas you are likely to come across an armed citizen while carrying out your chosen line of work. Open carry reinforces that "stereotype". And yes, criminals do profile people.
 
I've been going to a particular "hangout" on the weekends for years. People from all over southeast Texas come there. A whole lot of alcohol is consumed, and probably over half of the people are carrying gun(s). That's a conservative estimate. Every once in a while words are exchanged or a fight briefly breaks out. But not one time has anybody pointed a gun at another person, much less shot at someone else.
 
Being surrounded by people carrying guns does not make me feel uncomfortable one bit. Now if I'm ever surrounded by Democratic politicians, I would make sure to keep a firm grip on my wallet.

Sam gets it done today against Sienna with two freshman pitchers after having to use 6 pitchers last night against TCU. Good thing they have a lot of piitchers. No idea who is starting tonight but I'm sure the Kats are going to give it all they have.

Yeah, that looks good if you are on crack!!!! You guys filling in these blanks need to get a life.... I guess you know what all the batting averages were, how many times they had a runner in scoring position and put the ball in play to get them in, SAC bunts, SAC fly's, getting an extra base on a bone head play by the other team... You think ground balls, popularity, and pop-ups go into the selections, but it doesnt... Coaches take it all into consideration... You may see every other kid twice in one season when they play your team and thats it.... So now your qualified to come on a public forum, that these kids read, and tell some of them they are not deserving of the award they earned... These coaches award these kids for all sorts of things that you and I dont see... Also, Mr AAW, the comment you made that HJ came in 6th and had 6 kids make all district makes me wonder what your point is? What are you insinuating? That our coach bullied the others into voting the way they did or that maybe he blackmailed them? Or maybe we did have 6 deserving kids on the field??

No jealousy at all I just cant stand aggies are we and a few of these silsbee who can't be honest with themselves about certain things it really bothers me. I admit kountze underacheived this season so rounder17 aaw can continue throwing shots when I make a comment I really don't care. Aaw thinks because he is a broadcaster it gives him the right to be the general manager and president of baseball operations for the entire setx community. I cant even applaud silsbee for a good season without somebody jumping on me because I'm from little ol kountze

Dude you nailed it! Silsbee did cause them to drop their blue chips all over the field! Well at least 9 times on home plate before coach Holder took his foot off the gas and started putting in reserves to prevent a run rule.

Lack of facts again. Intent can be present if the person takes action with the knowledge that it will lead to the commission of a crime. You break in, you may have intent. I'm not waiting for you to show me your plans. Bursts of three coming your way.
