I got a couple pretty good after midnight prom stories. 🤗

beat me to it!  Especially that prom my sophomore year (older date) that fell on my birthday...

I remember that team.  HJ was really good then, but never could get over the Jasper hurdle.  

Here in Jasper we had the fortune a few years ago to have one of those "special" group of young ladies. 4 consecutive trips to the State Tournament.  Good times!  You are right about it taking a while to get back once those players are gone.

Nothing good happens after midnight. Especially on prom night

Being UIL uses NCAA football rules it will interesting to see if they apply these next season.

Liberty Hill-Congratulations on this awesome feat. A well deserved congratulations. The LH - PNG game was a great game. had they had their two RBs it would have been a different game. The thing that I see is that LH could not stop PNG. After the half PNG went into slow down mode to eat the clock. So it is my belief that the Indians would have most likely won the game anyway. Yes LH fans were saying that PNG would have won. LH fans were wonderful people and many offered congrats to us and wished us well at State. One even said they would love to have a rematch this next season. 

Yall were right. Finally got a good look at the award. Those years are for the seasons they played. Not when the award was given.

Of course I'm picking Wilson (Port Arthur Memorial) for Offense. Wouldn't be surprised if Miller (Silsbee) won though. 
For defense: I lean towards Smith (Jasper) but wouldn't be surprised if Williams (Silsbee) won it. 

I've had the honor to play against Gilbert Moye when he went to Diboll... I had hit him so hard (as a DB) that he smooth cussed me out.  Needless to say that the next play he scored a TD.

I remember that, a total mess of a situation. Hated it for Moye.

helluva game that was. they bear us 29-28. Gilbert Moye our QB fumbled as he was crossing the goal line on last play of game

If memory serves right, wasn’t it a very close game too. Like 49-47 or something

Man I remember that it was a heck of a game. I remember being at the Silsbee/Jasper game that year when the lights went out.
