  1. I need a moderator to close this one out as I have Week 3 up already so everyone let's continue on that thread because I want to do a week by week segment on this district and let's get our thoughts towards last week and this week. Everytime I post up on this particular segment one needs to close and we will discuss based on that particular week so with that being said let's move to the new one l've posted up yesterday.
  2. It's Monday so it's time for my thoughts on the weekly rankings again. I'm actually busy at the time of this post so I'll make it short and sweet so here we go: 1. Woodville (1-2) - The Eagles as I stated has an easy slate of opponents coming up and they can only go from here with a beat down of Liberty although that was not the case in the first half but still put it on them when needed most. (They will be F-I-N-E) 2. Palestine Westwood (3-0) - This is the only team in district that is still undefeated. I understand what type of opponents that they had to play but district starts in 2 weeks so expect a loss or 2 down the road. 3. Coldspring-Oakhurst (2-1) - The only reason why I've bump them down is because of the loss to H-F and not because of Westwood record for mine and obvious reasons. H-F's O-Line is by far the biggest we will see this season unless we make it to the playoffs. Another reason why the Trojans are in this spot is because of the defense holding H-F to only 2 points the entire second half. 4. Diboll (1-2) - I was very tempted to move them above Coldspring in my esteem rankings because they played the defending state champs but their first half performance left a little bit less to be desired but the second half they showed up but a loss is a loss and the Trojans record is better (although the teams Coldspring beat can't hold Franklin's jockstrap at all). This team should get better as the season progresses. 5. Shepherd (1-2) - The game against Orangfield should show a bit of indication of where the Pirates may wind up this season. A terrible loss to the Bobcats nevertheless. T. 6. Crockett and Huntington (0-3) - The records speaks for itself one team is very young and the other one history speaks for themselves.
  3. I was thinking the same thing but Hamshire-Fannett are the real deal in my book and that big #70 looks like he can be on a NFL O-line right now I haven't seen anyone that big so far this season in the games I've seen and that includes some of 6A and 5A. I knew we would lose this one but we did play them way better than last season.
  4. Good job Trojans especially playing the second half like that and good luck Longhorns on your season.
  5. !!:14/0/1 Passing game of the Longhorns are too much for the Trojans.
  6. Although our district is a coverage district but the area where I live ex: Huntsville, Coldspring, Shepherd, Willis, Conroe ISD, Splendora, Cleveland, etc. we are with what I consider to be a gray area in Texas we can be SETX or East Texas, Greater Houston area or Central Texas so we're just glad to get coverage out here and thanks to SETX Sports for making it happen because Lord knows I can't do that other site.
  7. I like a topic like this especially in the 4A- Below discussions which is why I made my thread about my district. Bellville is on of those teams that sometimes that they cover on here if it's in a local district but since yall will play some of the teams from the site in the playoffs (if yall make it there which yall should) then I don't mind the insight over into the season for a team like yours or others that SETX may play.
  8. I think the most will be 2 tds or at least by 12.
  9. No sir not even happening... Even though what I said Diboll being who they are losing key players to graduation it will be closer than that. I have that game 34-21 or 34-28.
  10. I agree with the whole statement especially Diboll losing what they lost in graduation plus the next game Westwood will play... I'll try to see what info I can get out of that game Friday while watching our game against Hamshire-Fannett.
  11. You entitled to your opinion but that doesn't make it a fact. The fact is that both teams are way better than any team Westwood has played so far.
  12. They won twice that season with the only other team in their district that they best was Eustace.
  13. Only due to the teams that they played I think the only thing I know about Kemp is I think that they had only one win all of last season (I'll check this out to be sure) and as far as Buffalo is concerned they usually do well in non-district but in their own district is another ball game and Westwood is probably most like the best team they will see in non-district. Coldspring wins are different because one is a 4A-D2 team that although last year they only won 1 game I believe they was for the most part in their games towards the end at the last minute of each game including us. The other team a 4A-D1 school that will most likely move up at the next realignment that played against us well for a team to be in the running for a district championship and they just came off a blowout win against a 6A team (who has no business being one but it is what it is can't argue with how many students are there) but a win nevertheless so I guess make with this info however you see fit but Coldspring's wins are more impressive to me than that of Westwood's.
